The mission of the Neurodiagnostics Department is to provide the highest quality Neurodiagnostic services to all patients who visit VCU Health. We support our patients with 24/7 Neurodiagnostic testing and offer services across 8 locations within the health system, inpatient and outpatient. **Flexibility to various work shifts required given 24/7 operations – specific shift(s) to be discussed during interview process**
The END Tech I job performs routine electroneurodiagnostic procedures using established protocols and procedures in a clinical lab, inpatient and epilepsy unit setting. The modalities include EEG, AEEG, EMU, Polysomnogram, Wada Testing, EP, NCV testing, ERG and IOM. The END Tech I must be proficient in one modality. Training on other modalities will take place on the job.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
Current CPR certification required
Experience REQUIRED:
Experience and proficiency in 1 electroneurodiagnostic modality (e.g. EEG, AEEG, EMU, Polysomnogram, etc.) and a minimum of six (6) months actively and satisfactorily participating in an approved and supervised END Tech program; or a minimum of one (1) year of basic medical, patient care related experience
Experience PREFERRED:
Two or more years of work experience in electroneurodiagnostic lab setting
Education/training REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Education/training PREFERRED:
Graduate of Electroneurodiagnostic Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
Independent action(s) required:
Takes initiative to acquire and maintain knowledge base.
Participates in conferences and technical training.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A
Additional position requirements:
Weekends and holiday coverage for the epilepsy monitoring Unit and STAT EEG procedures.
