Description
Our team is developing controlled environment systems and tools for the next generation of greenhouse technologies. The Electrical Engineer at Applied Invention designs, develops, tests, and installs next generation electrical equipment, components, and systems. You will improve existing and design innovative new electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for use in cutting edge industry changing applications.
Position Responsibilities
- Engage in all stages of system design, including schematic capture, component selection, board design, board layout, wiring, assembly, initial startup and debugging.
- Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Design high speed circuit boards, microprocessors and DSP elements, IO devices, and HMI devices.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Programmers, and Industrial Designers to develop complete systems.
- Provide multiple solutions to complex engineering challenges associated with rapidly changing specs/requirements.
Skills/Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics. ME or equivalent work experience desired.
- 5-7 years of experience in system and subsystem design for consumer electronics
- 3 years of experience in design, development, and test with embedded computers, computer peripherals, and handheld devices
- 3-5 years of experience in board layout design
- Demonstrated applied knowledge of digital, analog, and RF circuit design.
- GPS, FPGA, PLD design, CE device design and DSP Programming a plus
- Must be willing and able to work onsite at our Burbank office

We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected base annual salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $130,000. Actual compensation for an individual will vary depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
