Position Overview:
Applied Materials is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as the EHS Initiatives and Culture/HOP Leader. As the EHS Initiatives and Culture/HOP Leader, you will play a pivotal role in assisting Applied Materials on our HOP journey, helping local EHS teams embed HOP elements to improve safety culture. This includes coaching and leading teams to conduct operational learning events, ensuring that HOP principles are effectively integrated into daily operations and safety practices. Additionally, this individual will assist in the identification, development and implementation of EHS productivity enhancement initiatives for COE and Business Units (BU).
Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop HOP training content and assist in deploying the training across our global locations.

Mentor and coach global EHS teams on responding to injuries and incidents using HOP principles.

Assist in project management of key initiatives and projects across senior EHS leadership team. This may include leading cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and stakeholder engagement.

Collaborate with various departments to verify training requirements and assist in developing training content in line with EHS standards.
-
Assist site EHS teams in conducting self-assessments against corporate audit protocols.
-
Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously improve and update the EHS standards.

Assist in EHS Information Management System (Gensuite) implementation and defining internal audit protocols in the EHS Information System.

As needed, provide guidance and mentorship on injury management and worker's compensation programs.

Serve as project leader on productivity focused initiatives that focus on utilization of systems to drive efficiencies in EHS processes.
Qualifications:
-
Extensive experience in implementing and managing Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles to enhance safety culture and operational learning.
-
Experience in injury management and worker's compensation programs.
-
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
-
Minimum of 8 years of experience in EHS, preferably in a corporate setting.

Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations and requirements, in addition to an understanding of the global regulatory landscape.

Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
-
Proven track record in conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and developing corrective actions.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
-
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Familiarity with EHS Information Software Systems, such as Benchmark Gensuite.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
