About The Role:
IMAX creative is looking for talented editors that can drive, develop, and deliver stand out creative AV ideas and executions across multiple mediums. The role will be responsible for making innovative AV work, striving to continuously raise the creative bar through their desire to push themselves and others with their ideas and executions.
We are looking for individuals who are deeply passionate and knowledgeable about culture, movies, music, and IMAX. The successful candidates must be able to adapt to the changing media landscape, media consumption habits and creative trends to sell and promote our IMAX, IMAX content, and IMAX Documentaries in unique, innovative, and effective ways through trailers and reels.

What You’ll Do:

Create AV work that stands out and gets noticed, shared and liked

Pitch and present ideas to the team and stakeholders for their edits

Visualize, ideate, edit, and produce original and truly engaging AV spots/ trailers, AV content, or reels

Work with Sr. Production Manager to get projects through various stages of execution, including, footage research, editing, music selection, audio and voiceover

Consult and develop edit structures with the Head of Creative and Sr. Production Manager throughout the production process while staying on brief
What You’ll Need:

5+ years’ experience in Entertainment, Agency, or Studio setting

Strong background and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop)

Strong technical understanding of codecs and aspect ratios
-
Ability to propose strong and distinctive copy or edit structure to elevate video pieces by proactively sharing ideas

Equally comfortable creating edits from scratch as carrying out adaptive and versioning work
-
Strong understanding and/or experience in AV finishing processes

Strong understanding of post-production, editing and audio design techniques
Compensation:
42.10 - 80.00
