Job summary:
As an EDG DAG Sales GIFT CITY Associate within J.P. Morgan's Markets Group, you will be part of a fast-growing team covering multiple asset classes across geographies. You will work closely with trading, sales, and structuring teams spread across various regions across the globe. Your key responsibilities will include pricing, generating product rationale, creating marketing material and legal documents, back testing and analysis of new proprietary strategies, and market research. This role provides an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of Equity Derivatives / Rates/FX/Alternatives/Commodities and contribute to the development of our client-focused solutions.
Job responsibilities:
- Work as part of a sales team that focuses primarily on equity derivatives and structured investment products. Devise and provide pricing on derivative structures using internal pricing models and help with post trade process like instrument creation, assist with booking, note issuance process, term sheet preparation. The role being offered is based out of GIFT City, Ahmedabad and will also involve interacting on pricing with onshore clients while supporting the onshore sales team.
- Analyzing the research reports and trade ideas from various sources and generating strategies relevant for our client base.
- Combining the product knowledge with the market research and generating pitch books / factsheets which highlight why a particular product is suited for the current environment.
- Taking responsibility for post trade lifecycle events and assist with any client queries (settlements issues, lifecycle calculations, reconciliations, legal document checks).
- Guide the process improvement and automation agenda for the sales team. Develop process automations for daily tasks. Make use of automated pricing tools from the desks, contribute to the development to meet client's needs, and help roll-out the capabilities to clients.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Basic knowledge of derivatives - indices, futures and options
- Basic knowledge of Equities businesses
- Advanced user of MS Office suite, including Word and PowerPoint
- Close attention to detail and ability to work at very high standards of precision
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Good communication and team skills in a multi-location set up (working closely with sales team based across globe)
- Knowledge of VBA and any object oriented programming language (specifically Python)
