About the Role
- We're looking for an eCommerce Platform Business Manager (Shopify) to lead the daily operations of our Shopify-powered eCommerce platform—ensuring a seamless, scalable, and digital shopping experience. You will sit at the intersection of commerce, technology, and customer experience, playing a critical role in powering growth through operational excellence, platform innovation, and collaboration.
- You'll work with our main partners to gather their needs of the platform and bringing those needs to life. You will also monitor site performance, improving operational workflows, resolving transactional and customer issues, managing inventory accuracy, and maintaining financial and technical integrity across the platform. You'll collaborate with teams across Merchandising, Product, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Service to unlock new opportunities and deliver an excellent customer journey. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about eCommerce, optimization, and platform scalability.
Your Impact
- Monitor Shopify site performance, conduct regular audits, troubleshoot issues, and partner with developers to ensure uptime and performance.
- Oversee Shopify access roles, alerts, distribution lists, and ensure platform security and compliance with Shopify's standards.
- Review and resolve order flow issues (failed deliveries, in-process orders, etc.) in coordination with Shopify, supplier teams, and fraud management.
- Manage accurate inventory levels, product uploads, and category organization across the platform.
- Lead supplier onboarding processes and ensure seamless integration into the Shopify ecosystem.
- Coordinate with Merchandising and Supplier teams to assess inventory productivity and ensure readiness for campaigns.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to audit daily sales orders, ensure payout accuracy, and support month-end general ledger posting.
- Resolve transactional issues with suppliers and coordinate the rollout of new payment types in collaboration with Shopify, Finance, ACN, and third-party gateway providers.
- Stay up to date with new Shopify releases and apps, assess their impact, and lead implementation plans for new capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for automation and system enhancements to increase operations and improve service levels.
- Analyze web traffic and sales data to uncover trends, inform decisions, and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop automated dashboards and performance reports, and present insights to commercial and executive partners.
- Be a business liaison for Product teams—translating platform updates and new features into business opportunities.
What You'll Bring
- You have 3+ years of experience in Shopify eCommerce operations
- You have a understanding of the eCommerce ecosystem—including payment gateways, merchandising workflows, inventory systems, and customer experience strategies.
- Experience managing relationships across Product, Finance, Merchandising, and Customer Support.
- Familiarity with financial reconciliation processes and understanding of accounting impacts in digital commerce environments.
- You bring a analytical mindset with the ability to build and interpret dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports.
