Kate McLeod creates effective, good-for-you products that help customers find moments of intentioned self care in their lives. Our hero product is the Body Stone, an innovative solid moisturizer that melts into the skin on contact. It's designed to be used daily and turns something quotidian into an intentioned moment of self care — a source of everyday magic.

Overview

Kate McLeod is a brand that makes solid body care products that melt nature’s most moisturizing ingredients directly into the skin. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to creating meaningful connections with our customers and, as a key part of that, delivering an exceptional online shopping experience. We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic E-Commerce Manager to help us grow and refine our digital presence while nurturing our community of customers.

Who You Are

You live and breathe e-commerce. You have your finger on the pulse of digital marketing and website trends across a variety of industries, and you are passionate and educated about the clean beauty, health, and wellness space. You love working in small teams, and you are excited about the idea of working closely with a company's co-founders and leadership team. You believe in our brand and mission; you recognize how innovative our products are; and you want to help us take this to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

E-Commerce Management & Operations

  • Own and optimize the e-commerce site, ensuring a seamless, on-brand experience from homepage to checkout.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase conversion rates and grow revenue.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle online, including but not limited to product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and subscriptions.
  • Oversee website analytics to track performance, identify trends, and inform data-driven decisions.
  • Partner with the creative and marketing teams to execute visually compelling and engaging site updates, inclusive of landing page tests.
  • Collaborate with and help manage the e-commerce agency, ensuring alignment on brand goals, timely execution of deliverables, and ongoing optimization of campaigns and site performance.
  • Monitor and support Kate McLeod’s retail presence on third-party platforms (such as Sephora or wholesale partner sites), flagging opportunities, coordinating updates, and ensuring consistent brand representation.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager to maintain and optimize Kate McLeod’s social commerce presence on platforms like Meta Shop and TikTok Shop, ensuring a seamless shopping experience and alignment with broader e-commerce goals.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Enhance our CRM strategy to build deeper connections with our customers and drive repeat purchases.
  • Analyze customer data and purchase behavior to create targeted, personalized email and SMS marketing campaigns.
  • Deploy email and SMS campaigns, execute automated customer flows (ex: Welcome Flow, Abandoned Cart Flow), and continually optimize them for improved performance and customer engagement.
  • Develop strategies to reward customer loyalty and turn first-time buyers into lifelong fans.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align e-commerce initiatives with broader brand goals and storytelling.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure accurate inventory management and timely fulfillment.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing e-commerce platforms (experience with Shopify Plus is a must).
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce analytics tools (Google Analytics, Klaviyo, etc.) and conversion optimization strategies.
  • Experience in customer relationship management, including email and SMS marketing.
  • A passion for creating meaningful connections with customers and elevating their online shopping journey.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment.

What We Do

Kate McLeod creates safe, effective products that bring intentioned moments of self care and everyday magic to people's lives.

A former pastry chef, Kate understands the beauty of simple, homemade recipes made from whole, good-for-you ingredients. In her kitchen, synthetics are forbidden and quality reigns without compromise. Our innovative Body Stone solid moisturizers are waterless concentrates designed to intensely nourish the skin—a little goes a long way. By removing water from our formulas, we are able to create sustainable, plastic-free packaging and avoid some of the biggest culprits of waste in the beauty industry.

Our Hudson Valley workshop produces Kate’s recipes with integrity, care, and love. We keep our people and our process close to home, employing local chefs, bakers, and makers to create products that are handmade just for you.
