The CFO Division of DWS has presence in Frankfurt, London, New York and Asia and is responsible for ensuring the sound risk management and financial governance of DWS. The CFO Division comprises Risk, Investor Relations, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Integrated Reporting, Regional CFO teams, Tax, Capital & Liquidity Management, Finance Director teams for the Investment Platform, Coverage and Infrastructure functions and the COO team.
The COO team is responsible for the strategy and execution, governance, resource allocation, change management and control oversight for the CFO Division.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of the SAP 4 Hana adoption programme this role will focus on one or more functional areas that will typically impact across different country (releases) for this programme. Key components of the role will be:
- Defining business requirements for one or more functional area associated with the adoption of a new operating model aligned with the adoption of a new Ledger (SAP 4 Hana).
- Working with stakeholders and managing them through a structured process to understand their needs, analyse problems, and capture their requirements
- Partnering closely with IT colleagues on the delivery team to refine the requirement into specifications, creating user stories and design solutions that can be executed
- Providing input to the end users test approach, cutover and business readiness
- Facilitate communication across Technology, End Users and design lead in order to create consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions
- Helping in the creation of process flows and control documents
- Establishing relationship and working collaboratively across other DWS functions, e.g. Procurement, HR and IT as required to ensure requirements and design are aligned front to back with any dependencies clarified
- Support the project manager as required with respect to status reporting inputs, issues / risks management and all other aspects of the project including planning and tracking of activities and dependencies
Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant and demonstrable experience in designing and documenting requirements for transformation programmes in Finance – SAP S4 Hana preferred.
- Experience with business/data analysis within financial services showing strong analytical skills and clear problem solving capabilities
- Experience in designing business processes including the documentation of structured process maps and related documentation such as control definition
- Experience in IFRS Reporting
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with experience in explaining complex processes and issues clearly and concisely to Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
- Structured, organized, and results-oriented approach, demonstrating a high level of diligence and attention to detail
- Detailed knowledge of Accounting and other Finance processes
- Accounting qualification
- Knowledge of asset management industry preferred
