Team / division overview

The role supports the Asset Management business and is particularly responsible in ensuring that Assets under Management (AuM) and Flows information uploaded in the relevant database (Sales Information Management System – SIMS) are accurate. Non-performance which could lead to misstatements of AuM and Flows information reported internally and externally.

Communication with various stakeholders is a key element in effectively performing the role. Stakeholders/interactions include but not limited to the following: Head of AuM and Flows, Products specialist, IT, and Fund Managers.

Your responsibilities –

As our FP&A Manager – AUM & Flows, you will:

  • Preparation of weekly flows and pipeline forecast reports at global and regional level, that gets distributed to various regional heads and DWS ExBo members.
  • Data Management / Review of Assets under Management and Flows information including static data: supports the daily, weekly, monthly process through review of team’s outputs, ensuring accuracy of data before these get into the database (SIMS) which will be used as inputs in the various internal and external reporting requirements
  • Data Exceptions handling, ensures adjustments relevant to AuM and Flows reporting are investigated, coordinated, accurate, and timely uploaded in SIMS
  • Supports adhoc queries and report requirements, if any, of the AuM & Flows Head in a timely & accurate manner
  • AUM & Flows reporting including but not limited to reports automation, commentary enhancements , and/or other tasks as assigned by Team Lead or stakeholders.
  • Assists or performs project deliverables, reviews and studies
  • Oversees and assesses team’s performance. Develops plans on resource management, addressing underperformance, and career development of the individuals within his/her remit
  • Keeps all operational guidelines updated and ensures adherence to standards, KPIs, objectives and other metrics requirements & procedures and also identifies plans to mitigate risks whenever there is a control issue/s.

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related courses
  • Proven experience in general accounting related work gained from the BPO/Shared Services industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills through careful and systematic evaluation of information. Identifying linkages and trends from individual events and data points; seeing the context and providing solutions that address the issue and the big picture
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
  • Can clearly and effectively communicate with others
  • Has the ability to escalate adequately
  • Amenable to midshift - 2pm to 11pm

Education/Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration or any equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong focus on internal controls and integrity of data
  • Preferably with solid experience in end to end Finance functions.
  • PC/ workstation skills. Knowledgeable with Microsoft office – Advance Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good  analytical skills
