Amentum is currently seeking a DNA Examiner based in Forest Park, GA. This position will help support exploitation missions both CONUS (Continental United States) and OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) via deployment
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or forensic related area with coursework in genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, statistics and/or population genetics.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a forensic laboratory performing DNA analysis on criminal and/or intelligence materials. Experience must include the following:
- Sampling and testing of bodily fluids such as blood, and other items requiring DNA or related analysis.
- Ability to extract DNA using automated platforms.
- Generation of STR DNA profiles.
- Experience with mixture interpretations using probabilistic genotyping software.
- Experience with submission of DNA profiles to databases.
- Experience in technical and administrative case file reviews.
- Must be able to successfully pass a skills assessment upon hire.
- Able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance. (Please Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a US Secret security clearance)
- Must be able to obtain a US passport.
- Must be able to complete and pass a medical assessment per customer requirements.

- ABC Certification
