RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director, Technology Solution Partners is a strategic leader and key collaborator dedicated to delivering value to Common App’s constituents through innovative solutions. This role is integral to advancing Common App’s mission by supporting the development of both existing and new products.
Reporting to the SVP of Technology Services will oversee a team of Technical Product Managers and the Agile Center of Excellence. They will lead efforts to define solutions and create technical roadmaps that align with organizational priorities and product strategy. This includes managing solution and release planning to meet business goals and milestones, supporting successful product launches, and ensuring continuous improvement throughout product lifecycles.
QUALIFICATIONS
This role requires:
- Candidates must live in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, operations management or similar degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8-10 years of successful, progressive experience in technical systems or management jobs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6-8 years of experience as a people manager.
- Credentials / Experience in various aspects of product management discipline, organizational leadership, and strategy.
- Leadership skills to set direction and enable strong collaboration across functional areas.
- Strong organizational and management skills, preferably in a collaborative, team environment.
- Knowledge of selection, implementation, and operation of appropriate team-based tools in support of technical and Agile product management.
- Strong knowledge of technical systems, software, and data solutions. Windows / MacOS and mobile OS required; knowledge of front and backend, mobile and web-based software architectures and paradigms required; demonstrated approach to identifying appropriate new platform capabilities and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and change management experience, with the ability to inspire and guide teams through complex transitions.
- Knowledge of the role of standards in process and organizational success; knowledge of selection and implementation of standards.
- Mastery of Agile and other teaming approaches; ability to lead teams to select most appropriate process methods.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Master’s degree.
- Previous experience in higher education, education technology or college admissions and enrollment.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Product Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification.
- A passion for higher education is a plus.
PAY RANGE
$136,043 - $153,048
