As a Director, Technical Program Management, you will be overseeing both technical and operational initiatives that support the strategic growth of business-critical merchant programs. This position requires working closely with merchants, program teams and cross-functional leaders to own the objectives and deliverables of the program initiatives. You will also lead a team of Technical Program Managers to manage the integration and rollout of payment networks and payment marketing products. As a member of the Operations Leadership team, you will continuously improve how we plan, deliver, and measure our service.


Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership:

· Be a trusted program leader for merchants by owning the strategy and execution of all programs.

· Influence merchant payment network roadmap decision and facilitate product feature discussion while maintaining program continuity and operational excellence.

· Drive the planning and delivery of cross-functional initiatives to improve program efficiency and scalability.

· Collaborate with executive leadership to define the framework and process to plan and utilize resources for optimal ROI.


Program Partnership:

· Develop strong partnerships with key functional stakeholders to drive strategic focus of each program.

· Lead program execution by achieving alignment across programs and functions on program scope, structure, resources and process.


Management and Mentorship:

· Lead and manage a team of Technical Program Managers, providing leadership and guidance to drive successful program execution that aligns with business strategy and contributes to long-term growth.

· Foster an environment of ownership, transparency, and accountability by mentoring and empowering a high-performing team.


Leadership Impact:

· Successfully leverage deep experience in technical operations to influence business and product strategy for merchant programs, from conceptualization to successful implementation.

· Drive prioritization discussions, emphasizing the importance of optimization and efficiency in all aspects of the program.

Communication and Alignment:

· Ensure consistent communication and alignment across all parties and globally for each program to help make key decisions, remove blockers, and address key program issues.

· Minimize escalations by anticipating issues and challenges and implementing interventions timely.

Key Skills and Competencies:

· 15+ years of enterprise software/technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company.

· 8+ years of experience managing people in a globally distributed environment.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.

· Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.

· Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and team members.

· Strong relationship-building skills conducive to driving consensus

· Able to work in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.

· Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.

· Outstanding organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

· A related technical degree required, e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering field
