Your Team

As a Director, Product Owner on the ILI Distribution Journey you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to improve our Book of Business platform.  You will define a roadmap for a product or suite of related products collaborating with business functions, service teams and technology teams, identifying business outcomes and solutions that deliver on the product strategy to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to deep product expertise and analytic experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day

  • Create and maintain an ongoing product roadmap by working with business areas to identify, sequence, and prioritize enhancement requests
  • Ensure alignment of product features and stories, i.e., review, give feedback, and prioritize user stories in line with own vision
  • Coordinate, plan and lead UAT sessions for business stakeholders
  • Communicate frequently with business stakeholders to ensure engagement and buy-in on decisions and proposed solutions
  • Lead sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master and organizational technology teams
  • Work with Tech lead to build a modular & reusable solutions
  • Leads discussions and decisions around technology options, supports building product teams for execution and has responsibility for the product backlog.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring  

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering; Analytics; or experience in related fields
  • Experience in working with DevOps automation tools & practices; Knowledge of full software development life cycle (SDLC) 
  • Ability to lead independently with minimal guidance and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organization   
  • Deep knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business 
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges 
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills; enjoy learning new skills


  • Significant experience and/or deep expertise with several of the following: 
  • Effective Communication: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Decision-Making & Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Financial/Business Acumen: Strong Knowledge of financial and/or business concepts, tools and processes and how financial metrics are used to monitor and drive outcomes. Includes understanding of company accounts/metrics (ex: balance sheet, profit/loss, cash flow, budget & forecast).
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $164,700.00 to $222,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
