About the Job

The Sanabil Venture Studio by Redesign Health (SSRH) is designed to empower founders to launch and scale transformative healthcare companies in Saudi Arabia through an ecosystem of capabilities supporting ideation, commercial traction, and execution.

As Director of Founder and Talent Acquisition, you will play a pivotal role in identifying exceptional founders for SSRH to partner with. This strategic, hands-on position directly impacts patient outcomes, as well as the growth and success of SSRH and its founders.

Your responsibilities will span three key areas:

  1. Attract, Engage with, and Assess High-Quality Founders: Identify top-tier founding talent for SSRH portfolio company concepts.
  2. Continued Founder Network Development: Establish and grow a robust talent ecosystem for portfolio companies.
  3. Internal SSRH Recruitment: Build and manage the recruitment function for SSRH’s corporate office.

You will partner with the US-based leadership team to define our talent acquisition strategy, develop streamlined processes, and create a high-performing recruitment function.

As a founding member of SSRH, you will also contribute to building the operations and culture of our Saudi innovation platform. You’ll collaborate with U.S.-based counterparts, leverage Redesign’s existing infrastructure, and adapt strategies to the Saudi market.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Talent, based in New York City, and works closely with the broader Talent team.

What you’ll do:

Attract, Engage With, and Assess High-Quality Founders

  • Design and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that addresses the hiring needs of SSRH and its founder ecosystem, laying the foundation for a thriving RH Saudi Arabia Talent Ecosystem.
  • Attract, engage with, and assess top talent by leveraging innovative sourcing strategies, targeted outreach, and competency-based evaluation frameworks.
  • Build and maintain a positive, professional founder journey that reflects Redesign Health’s values and mission, ensuring every founder interaction reinforces the organization's reputation and appeal.

Continued Founder Network Development

  • Proactively engage with founder talent through networking, relationship-building, and community engagement efforts to identify and nurture future partners.
  • Cultivate Redesign Health’s reputation as an employer of choice in Saudi Arabia by crafting a compelling employer brand narrative that resonates with top executive and founder talent.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to Redesign Health leadership in the U.S., offering transparency on recruitment progress, challenges, and emerging opportunities to ensure alignment and strategic decision-making.

Internal SSRH Recruitment

  • Using the pre-existing SSRH hiring playbook and processes, build the Saudi recruitment function, including tools, processes, and metrics to ensure efficient, high-impact operations.
  • Build and lead a team of recruiters to support Redesign Health’s continued expansion and meet the growing demand for top-tier talent.
  • Contribute to the development of SSRH’s operations and culture, embracing a collaborative “all hands on deck” approach to foster innovation and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Stay informed about local labor laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia to ensure all recruitment practices are compliant, ethical, and aligned with best practices.

What you’ll need:

  • 8+ years of talent acquisition experience, with a proven track record of building and leading recruiting functions, preferably in an international context, and in the healthcare space.
  • Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian labor market and cultural nuances.
  • Experience in developing and mentoring recruiting teams, and demonstrated leadership capabilities with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent sourcing, interviewing, and founder assessment skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working in a start-up or high-growth company is a plus.
  • Fully fluent in Arabic and English.

Who you are:

  • Action Oriented. You take initiative and drive results, proactively tackling challenges and opportunities. You move quickly and decisively, always focusing on achieving goals and making things happen.
  • Manages Ambiguity. You deal comfortably with the uncertainty of change, and are calm and productive, even when things are up in the air.
  • Cultural Competence. You navigate cultural differences with ease, showing respect and understanding for diverse perspectives. You adapt your communication and behavior to different cultural contexts, fostering inclusive and effective interactions.
  • Effective Collaboration. You work seamlessly with others, leveraging diverse strengths and perspectives, and proactively seek to understand and drive consensus among your stakeholders and colleagues. You foster a cooperative environment where all contributions are valued, driving team success through mutual respect and shared goals.
