Q2 is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Talent Acquisition to own and lead Q2’s global hiring strategy and operations. This is a rare opportunity to run Q2’s talent acquisition practice like your own business—you’ll be responsible for managing a high-performing US based TA team, designing for impactful, scalable global recruitment operations, and delivering exceptional hiring outcomes aligned with business goals. 

 

You’ll set the vision for how we attract, engage, and hire top-tier talent across regions and business units. You’ll manage the recruiting technology stack, own relationships with external partners, and collaborate closely with senior leadership to forecast workforce needs and leverage both internal and external talent to deliver on hiring plans. Based in Austin, this role will serve as a member of the People Extended Leadership Team, where you’ll also have a seat at the table to shape the future of our workforce, with direct access to C-suite leaders. This role reports to VP, Engagement and Talent Acquisition. 

 

The Job At-A-Glance

  • Design and lead TA Global Center of Excellence; partner closely with the India Talent Acquisition team to facilitate the exchange of best practices and ensure alignment of global talent acquisition strategy with business goals.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leaders on headcount planning, hiring priorities, and talent market trends. 

  • Own employer branding and recruitment marketing strategies to position the company as an employer of choice. 

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-impact TA team, including sourcing limited agency support when necessary. 

  • Define team goals, KPIs, and metrics to measure and continuously improve hiring effectiveness and efficiency. Partner closely with FP&A and business leaders to ensure annual hiring plan is achieved, along with in-year replacements for attrition. 

  • Design and implement structured, scalable recruitment processes across regions and functions. 

  • Own and optimize the recruiting tech stack (ATS, sourcing tools, analytics platforms, etc.). 

  • Ensure an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience from application to offer; Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and partnership with hiring managers. 

  • Own end-to-end process for some executive and confidential search efforts for sensitive and/or high-impact roles with discretion and precision. 

  • Select and manage external recruiting partners, including agencies; Oversee contracts, budgets, and performance of all external vendors and tools. 

  • Actively participate in the People Extended Leadership Team, bringing forward hiring insights and headcount planning input. 

  • Partner with HRBPs, Finance, and department heads to forecast and align on talent needs. 

  • Report on hiring progress and insights to C-suite leaders, Senior Leadership Team, and other leaders as needed to drive results and improvements.  

  • Ensure services and policies follow company, professional standards, and state and federal laws and regulations 

  • Work from the Austin office in hybrid capacity (minimum 3 days per week). 

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience; or equivalent relevant work experience.  

  • Typically requires 5+ years of leading and developing employees

  • Proven success leading and scaling TA teams in fast-paced, high-growth or global environments, developing their skills, managing deadlines and productivity, and driving success and accountability.

  • Deep understanding of recruitment operations, employer branding, and market intelligence. Strong command of ATS systems and sourcing technologies. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior and executive leaders. 

  • Data-driven, with the ability to use metrics to inform decisions and tell compelling stories. 

  • Exceptional discretion, judgement and critical thinking. 

  • Strong organizational skills, high level of efficiency, and consistent follow through. 

  • Good knowledge of labor legislation. 

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
