Are you ready to take on a dynamic role at the heart of a fast-growing tech company? ButterflyMX is hiring for a brand-new impactful role, a Director of Strategic Programs, to become a key player and strategic partner to our executive team, in driving our business forward. This is not your typical operations role — you'll gain hands-on experience working directly with the executive team and play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient operations of the business.

In this role, you'll have a front-row seat to how a high-growth software company operates. From preparing materials for the board of directors to partnering closely with the executive team on crucial change initiatives, this person will play a critical role in contributing towards defining the future of ButterflyMX. Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Executive Support:
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insights and recommendations
    • Organize and facilitate high-level meetings, including discussion materials, agendas, and ensuring follow-up on action items
  • Investor and Board Management:
    • Assist in managing relationships with investors and key stakeholders, including preparing reports and updates
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Lead the company’s OKR process
    • Create framework for evaluating key initiatives and opportunities, and develop business cases to drive alignment
    • Facilitate collaboration between departments to ensure alignment and efficiency in achieving company goals
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to senior staff and project teams as needed
    • Create materials to inform/facilitate management team discussions and board discussions
    • Coordinate the allocation of resources across departments to optimize performance and achieve strategic objectives

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Determine, prepare and present reports on key metrics, strategic initiatives, and operational performance to the executive team and board
  • Build and manage dashboards or reports that support decision-making across the business
  • Analyze performance data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making
  • Create high-impact discussion materials and presentations that communicate data-rich narratives clearly
  • Structure complex information in a way that’s visually engaging and easy to understand

Strategy and Special Projects

  • Take ownership of special projects or initiatives that are critical to the company's success but fall outside the purview of other executives
  • Own end-to-end project execution, from planning to delivery, quickly and effectively
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment, remove roadblocks, and drive initiatives forward
  • Track progress against each initiative (qualitative and quantitative) and report these updates to the management team on a regular basis
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements
  • 3+ years experience post MBA as a strategy consultant at a top-tier management consulting company (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture), focused on projects like market entry strategy, market growth strategies, and/or strategic planning
  • Proven track record of implementing business processes, systems, and reporting structures that drive efficiency and scalability
  • Exceptional project management capabilities, with experience leading and delivering multiple complex, cross-functional projects on time and within budget
  • Detail-obsessed —all work is polished, thoughtful, and accurate; careless mistakes are rare and taken seriously
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and high agency
  • Demonstrated success in a high pressure, dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change in a matrixed environment, winning trust quickly with colleagues
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, with a strong bias for action and a “figure it out” mentality
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, with the confidence to make strategic choices that drive team and organizational success
  • Analytical and data-savvy — fluent in Excel and experienced in using data to drive decisions and insights
  • Experienced in leveraging AI tools and automation platforms to increase efficiency, productivity, and analytical depth
  • Gritty, always-on work ethic and a “run through walls” attitude to hitting goals and driving outcomes
  • Exceptional presentation skills and can communicate effectively through slides
  • Ability to quickly build trust, win hearts and minds, and foster alignment across teams
