Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include: (i) spearheading the due diligence process for new cash flow transactions, inclusive of financial due diligence and leading diligence calls, (ii) overseeing the preparation of pre-screen memos and credit approval documents for presentation to credit committee, (iii) reviewing and/or spearheading legal documentation including credit agreements & amendments, (iv) reviewing financial models, (v) management and ongoing monitoring of select portfolio accounts, and (vi) mentoring junior staff members. Throughout this process, the director will work collaboratively with junior deal team members and interact with multiple stakeholders including senior business development officers, deal underwriters, senior credit officers, capital markets professionals, private equity sponsors, company management, as well as legal counsel and operations personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10-15 years’ experience in leveraged finance at a commercial or investment bank with strong commercial credit experience.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience underwriting middle market cash flow / PE-backed transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with financial statements and financial modeling.
  • Robust knowledge of and comfort with spearheading legal documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/transactions with skill and communicate process status clearly and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision.

Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA considered a plus, but not required.
  • Graduate of a formalized credit training program is preferred.

The estimated salary range for this position is $190,000 USD to $210,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
