Our mission is to create Digital Twin technology to improve the efficiency of facility operations, helping to transform how facilities are designed, built, and operated. Autodesk is hiring a Director of Tandem Sales for the Autodesk Tandem Digital Twin product where you will own the sales strategy and drive new business expansion globally to rapid scale.
We are looking for a seasoned technology sales leader with a proven track record of growing SaaS revenue from early market adoption across the chasm to mainstream growth. Being successful in this role demands strategic execution, driving focused, targeted plans with a global overlay sales team while scaling the overall business through the larger Autodesk sales team. This leadership role is responsible for business results and driving revenue growth with an existing and net new customer base. You will report to the Director of Operations in this remote position.
Responsibilities
Drive Revenue Growth

Hit your number by selling and enabling the Tandem Product Sales Specialist team to meet/exceed quarterly sales targets for Annual Recurring Revenue

Translate strategic targets into actionable plans, tracking and monitoring key metrics to ensure ongoing business growth while supporting workflow optimization to maximize sales productivity

Execute localized sales strategies with the team aligned with Autodesk Tandem business objectives that win new business and accelerate adoption expansion

Inspire and lead the team, practice hands-on training, build a growth mindset within the team and encouraging innovation that keeps the team engaged
Build Customer Relationships

Lead and join customer executive engagements, providing company and high-level product overviews, thought leadership, and supporting complex negotiations

Ensure the team maintains strong customer relationships, build trust and loyalty by delivering exceptional customer experience

Develop methodologies for sustaining long-term customer relationships and maximizing account growth potential throughout the Customer Lifecycle

Travel to customer meetings, internal meetings, and conferences (up to 30%)
Collaborate Globally

Model effective team partnership with both Tandem and Worldwide sales, customer success, marketing, and partner management teams

Encourage documentation and sharing of best practices across sales teams focused on different industries, as well as sales teams in different regions

Guide the transition process for accounts reaching maturity, ensuring a seamless handoff to appropriate teams for ongoing management

Establish frameworks for effective cross-functional collaboration to enhance customer experience, leveraging knowledge of customer needs to positively influence product direction
Measure Results

Encourage innovative team lead generation tactics, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize prospecting and targeting new customers through various channels, ensuring a consistent funnel of quality leads

Drive consistent, team-wide use of processes and tools for account planning/customer planning, opportunity management, and sales forecasting, ensuring full team transparency throughout the Customer Lifecycle

Supports the development and management of accurate sales targets, forecasts and planning, collaborating with Finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition, commission tracking, and reporting

Monitor, analyze, track, and report on the performance of the sales team by providing regular insights, leveraging data to refine strategies, sales processes, and drive growth
Minimum Qualifications
-
10+ years sales leadership experience with teams that sell enterprise software in the SaaS technology industry with proven success achieving or exceeding sales goals in high-growth startup environments

BA/BS in Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in AEC, Facility Operations or Smart Building

Seasoned Sales leader who takes extreme ownership over teams and targets, seamlessly managing multiple competing priorities and driving for success despite difficult constraints or limited resources

Exceptional communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering partnerships internally and externally at varying organizational levels and functional disciplines
-
Hungry and relentless sales professional with a proven sales record in quota carrying roles with large enterprises, managing a pipeline as an individual contributor and across a team

Strong business acumen and analytical skills, including experience managing sales forecasts with a high degree of accuracy

Strong well-known collaborator excelling at negotiation and consensus building with a demonstrated ability to lead large cross-functional initiatives to drive efficiency, results, and alignment across teams

Self-motivated, high energy and results oriented with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and business initiatives, adept a driving multi-year plans for long-term growth
Preferred Qualifications

Exceptionally organized, execution-focused, accountable, detail-oriented, adaptable, and driven

Familiarity with business and technology trends globally in Autodesk target industries with an ability to understand and articulate their benefits to maximize sales results

Experience with team collaboration technologies such as Airtable, Salesforce, Seismic, Confluence, and Office 365

Prior experience on a geographically distributed team with willingness and ability to travel up to 30%

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $265,100 and $383,680. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
