What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:

  • Lead strategic direction, business performance, and financial management for complex activities.
  • Manage people, technology, and financial resources within the Division or Global Business Unit, possibly utilizing resources outside of direct authority.
  • Share knowledge across the Global Business Unit and establish knowledge-sharing systems.
  • Foster continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging risk-taking in daily operations.
  • Develop solutions to complex or unique problems, holding accountability for decisions.
  • Contribute to strategy development and execution within the Division or Global Business Unit.
  • Manage talent and leadership development, participate in succession planning, and prepare for long-term needs.
  • Hold senior managers accountable for skill development and diversity, leading resources to deliver on priorities, and influencing resources outside immediate area.
  • Lead teams in setting strategic direction for the Division or Global Business Unit, influencing senior management decisions.
  • Ensure operational performance objectives and supporting functions are well-defined, executed, delivered on time, and manage technological and financial resources efficiently.
  • Administer industrial hygiene and toxicology programs in accordance with federal and local regulations.
  • Develop and monitor environmental programs in accordance with federal and local regulations.
  • Monitor, administer, evaluate, and coordinate company environmental and safety and health programs and employee assistance programs to enhance a safe workplace.
  • Control and monitor chemicals in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Accountable for activities involved in developing and maintaining disaster and emergency planning and management plans, policies, and procedures, and provide advice and recommendations on all aspects of emergency planning and management at both the tactical and strategic levels.
  • Accountable for site Security and Surveillance programs.


Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • BA/BS with at least 8 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 7 years of experience or PhD/JD with at least 5 years of experience or MD/DVM with at least 4 years of experience.
  • EHS professional experience and knowledge
  • Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, Biotechnology or Medical Devices industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale programs and initiatives across various levels of Cross-functional Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Device industries
  • 3 years of experience in Leadership roles
  • Proven track record of planning, implementing, and achieving significant, complex goals and objectives
  • Expertise in leading complex cross-functional tasks and projects, establishing and meeting deadlines
  • Strong capabilities in navigating incident reporting systems and learning new systems efficiently
  • Excellent planning and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, fluent in written and spoken English, with superior presentation skills


Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):

  • Demonstrated knowledge of both API and Drug Products
  • Solid background in Enterprise Resource Planning, Data Warehouse, and Reporting Systems
  • Familiarity with healthcare and pharmaceutical transactions, including M&A and product licensing
  • Experience in interacting with Health Authorities, OSHA, and NC DOL
  • Strategic outlook with a capacity for creative, out-of-the-box thinking, and strong intellectual curiosity
  • Strong matrix management and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in self-directed modes without immediate oversight
  • Strong people management experience, essential for managing Pfizer direct reports
  • Ability to frame rigorous fact-based analysis for decision-making and foster effective relationships with key internal/external stakeholders


Physical/Mental requirements

  • This role requires a lot of walking, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, wearing occasional hearing protection, wearing safety shoes, glasses & hard hat, communicating through a radio, etc.


Non-Standard work schedule, travel or environment requirements

  • This role is primarily M-F during business hours.
  • Occasional off-shift, weekend, and holiday work may be required to support 24/7 operations and shutdown activities.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,600.00 to $261,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
