About the Role: 

The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for establishing and maintaining a company-wide culture of quality. This leadership role ensures that all products and processes meet strict regulatory and performance standards, guiding cross-functional teams to maintain and exceed best practices. By driving strategic initiatives, overseeing audit and compliance efforts, and championing continuous improvement, the Director of Quality Assurance plays a crucial part in fostering trust, consistency, and excellence across every aspect of the organization’s output. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead and mentor a team of 3+ QA engineers, providing guidance, performance feedback, and career development 
• Establish, implement, and maintain QA processes, methodologies, and best practices across multiple product lines 
• Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with business objectives Create and manage testing schedules to align with product release cycles 
• Build and oversee test automation frameworks and infrastructure 
• Collaborate with product management and development teams to understand requirements and prioritize testing efforts 
• Define quality metrics and KPIs to measure and improve testing effectiveness 

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management role 
• Proven experience building and scaling QA teams and establishing QA departments 
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, best practices, and quality standards
• Experience with both manual and automated testing processes 
• Familiarity with various testing types including functional, regression, performance, and security testing 
• Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Master's degree or relevant management certifications are a plus 
• Strong understanding of agile development methodologies 
• Experience working with multiple product lines simultaneously 
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills 
• Strong project management and organizational abilities 
• Experience with budgeting and resource planning 
• Experience with mobile application and SDK testing 
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
