What you will do:

Credit Karma is seeking a Director of Product with expertise in Data Science to lead the development and execution of data science initiatives to solve business problems that will have an impact on 140M+ members. This role will bridge the gap between data science and business, driving innovation and delivering insights that enhance user experiences and business outcomes. You will oversee a team of product managers and work closely with other stakeholders like data science, marketing and data engineers to create scalable solutions that align with Credit Karma’s mission.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a product vision and roadmap for data science initiatives based on data driven insights
  • Identify opportunities where advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning can solve business challenges or improve user experiences
  • Collaborate with executives and stakeholders across marketing, product and data science to align data science strategies with company goals

Team Management:

  • Lead and develop a team of product managers
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team
  • Develop and establish clear charters and key metrics for each product manager

Product Development:

  • Manage a portfolio of projects focused on solving business problems
  • Develop KPIs and success metrics to measure the impact of data science initiatives
  • Champion the integration of high-value data sources into Credit Karma’s analytics ecosystem
  • Collaborate with and align priorities with partner engineering teams to launch our products on time

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management or data science roles within fintech or technology sectors; product management in data science/AI preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data-driven products
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, AI technologies, and big data platforms
  • Familiarity with data science and model building concepts

Pay Transparency Notice: 

Credit Karma’s mission of championing financial progress for all starts from within. That’s why we implemented role-based compensation, which ensures people who are in the same role receive the same pay with variations for geographic location only. It’s all part of a more comprehensive DEI strategy that helps level the playing field. The base salary range for this role is $331,233 to $358,738, plus equity and benefits.
