About this role:
The Director of Platform, Intelligence, and Innovation will be a key leader in shaping the future of our Commercial Card business, driving platform modernization, data-driven insights, automation, new product development, and strategic innovation. This leader will be responsible for advancing our technology ecosystem, optimizing data analytics capabilities, and identifying opportunities to enhance our commercial card offerings to meet evolving client needs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial payments, new product development, data analytics, automation, and commercial card credit risk management within financial services. They will work cross-functionally to develop and execute a roadmap that enhances platform capabilities, improves decision-making through intelligence, and fosters innovation in product development and client experience.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop specialized teams of managers and professional individual contributors
- Analyze customer and results-oriented information
- Perform market research related to development and testing of services and products
- Identify opportunities and strategies for establishing pricing policies, distribution strategies, technical systems, and customer requirements
- Manage companywide efforts to align and coordinate distribution channels, systems requirements, product introduction, marketing, training, and ongoing product and service management
- Lead teams by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex, unique, and critical product line issues to meet deliverables
- Interpret and develop range of new products or product lines and product life cycle management for functions with moderate to high complexity and risk
- Collaborate with and influence stakeholders, subject matter experts, project managers, and experienced leaders
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Product Management
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Platform Strategy & Modernization
- Lead the strategy and execution of platform modernization efforts to enhance the scalability, security, and efficiency of our commercial card infrastructure.
- Partner with technology teams to define and implement enhancements that improve user experience, API connectivity, and integration with corporate treasury platforms.
- Drive automation and digitization initiatives to streamline internal processes, optimize operational efficiencies, and enhance the customer experience.
Intelligence, Data-Driven Insights & Credit Risk Management
- Develop and execute a strategy for leveraging data analytics, AI, and machine learning to improve portfolio performance, customer insights, risk assessment, and credit decisioning.
- Partner with finance, risk, and product teams to design and implement data models that support dynamic pricing, spend analytics, and credit risk evaluation.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business impact and inform strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with credit risk management teams to enhance underwriting strategies, risk monitoring, and credit policies for commercial card clients.
New Product Development & Innovation
- Lead the end-to-end development of new commercial card products and features, from ideation to market launch.
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and partnerships that can enhance the commercial card value proposition.
- Collaborate with FinTechs, networks, and industry partners to drive differentiated solutions and new revenue opportunities.
- Lead the development of pilot programs, proof-of-concepts, and innovation initiatives to test and scale new capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in commercial payments, new product development, financial services technology, data analytics, and credit risk management.
- Deep understanding of commercial card platforms, automation, data analytics, underwriting strategies, and digital transformation in banking.
- Proven track record of leading technology initiatives, data-driven decision-making, and innovation in a complex environment.
- Experience working with APIs, AI, machine learning, automation technologies, and digital payment solutions is a plus.

San Francisco Pay Range: $173,300-$359,000.00 yearly
