About the Role

IIX is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader in Indonesia. This individual is responsible for developing and expanding the business and visibility of IIX in Indonesia. The role combines strategic leadership, business development, client relationship management, and operational oversight to ensure sustainable growth, high-quality service delivery, and achievement of targets. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute a strategic business plan to expand IIX’s operations and presence in Indonesia, aligned with the regional and global business goals
• Identify and establish key partnerships with investors, corporate, government agencies, financial institutions, and other players to enhance IIX’s engagement in Indonesia
• Represent IIX in high-level forums, stakeholder meetings, and policy discussions on sustainable finance and impact investing

Business Development

• Drive business development efforts with the private sector and the development sector partners to create revenue-generating opportunities for IIX, including advisory services and technical assistance programs
• Build and nurture external relationships with decision-makers to drive growth through client acquisition, retention, and expansion
• Lead and oversee proposal development, bids, and contract negotiations

Operational Management and Financial Oversight

• Ensure efficient delivery of projects and engagements in Indonesia by maintaining IIX’s quality standards across all deliverables
• Monitor project performance and risk management protocols across projects, maintaining strong governance and internal control mechanisms
• Develop and manage the country P&L, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring profitability of projects and compliance with targets

Operational & Crisis Management

• Identify and manage operational risks specific to the execution and management of IIX’s investment vehicles.
• Develop and oversee business continuity plans and crisis management protocols related to investment risk exposure.
• Establish and refine internal risk monitoring systems and reporting frameworks for WLB and similar financial instruments.
• Advise on risk implications of new investment structures, borrower selection, and market dynamics.
• Provide risk insights to senior leadership and investment committees to support strategic decision-making.

Team Engagement and Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of consultants and managers. Foster talent development and retention 
• Build a high-performance work culture aligned with IIX’s PREM values to enable innovation, collaboration, and excellence
• Collaborate and work closely with the various IIX teams across the region to ensure efficient and timely achievement of targets

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in business consulting (such Big 4 or other leading advisory firms), financial services, banking, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of Indonesia’s business and investment ecosystem and the sustainable financial landscape
• Proven experience in business development, client management, and stakeholder engagement, with a track record of securing business mandates and developing partnerships.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management.
• A strong existing business network in Indonesia with corporate, financial institutions, and government agencies preferred
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
