Job Summary

The Director, Modern Workplace is responsible for the enablement of enterprise technology to empower users to with productivity tools, collaborate and communicate.  This role is pivotal in HOOPP’s digital transformation journey overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Modern Workplace Solutions.  This role will evaluate the current state and propose an effective and sustainable model and will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, managing, governing, and facilitating HOOPP’s Modern Workplace. 

What you will do:

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Developing and owning the vision and strategy for the Program.
  • Creating and executing short-term and long-term roadmaps to ensure the Program's maturity and alignment with HOOPP’s governance functions and architecture framework.
  • Advocating for the Program to ensure proper resourcing with both supporting technology and qualified team members.

Operational Management:

  • Function as the technical Subject Matter Expert and deliver best-in-class solutions for Microsoft 365 within HOOPP
  • Leading a Modern Workplace team, who will evolve, drive and operate the technology.
  • Coaching and mentoring the team and support the development or personal and professional goals.

Planning & Reporting:

  • Designing solutions using Microsoft 365 services, Microsoft Power Platforms, RingCentral RingEX.
  • Leading the design and implementation of security features and ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
  • Overseeing data lifecycle management and implementing retention policies and data classification guidelines.
  • Working closely with business units to tailor solutions aligned with their objectives.
  • Ensuring the platforms are secure and compliant with organization standards.
  • Providing technical leadership, architectural guidance, and best practices.
  • Managing migrations and ensuring seamless integration of Modern Workplace services.
  • Organizing training sessions for users and IT staff to ensure technology adoption.
  • Monitoring solutions for optimal performance and scalability.
  • Staying updated on the latest Modern Workplace developments and integrating new functionalities.
  • Responsible for all training, and awareness programs related to Modern Workplace.
  • Leading company-wide training and awareness initiatives, ensuring quality, consistency, and providing consultation to other program areas within HOOPP.

What you bring:

  • University degree or equivalent (7-10 years) work experience in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering plus accreditations in Microsoft 365.
  • An experienced (7-10 years) and forward-thinking Microsoft 365 Architect with extensive experience in enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Deep technical knowledge of M365 technologies with an understanding of their transformative potential for organizations.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot AI Platforms
  • Understanding of Corporate telephony and communication practice
  • Ability to translate technical specifications into business benefits and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in change management initiatives and ensuring technology adoption.
  • Committed to ongoing education and staying ahead of technological advancements.
  • Strong collaboration, analytical, and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Belief in the power of technology to drive transformation and readiness to lead change leveraging Modern Workplace platforms.
  • Management experience in operating, growing and leading a high performing team.
