Humatics seeks a Director of Milo Product Marketing and Management to shape, create and bring Milo industrial automation products to the market revolutionizing manufacturing and robotics across a variety of sectors. Humatics Milo products deliver sub-millimeter precise real-time location data to achieve the next generation of robotics and automation. Milo is focused on providing high-end positioning systems for a wide variety of industrial automation sectors.
In this role, you will:
Proactively identify new markets for Milo through continuous research and discovery. You’ll own a mandate to find new use cases within our current verticals as well as new verticals. You will perform market research and analysis to identify new applications and markets that Humatics is well positioned to enter. You’ll communicate up and down the ladder ensuring the entire team knows the “Why behind the What” we are executing on. You’ll lead the prospecting, selling, and closing of early deals in new markets --- with strong support from the CEO --- to ensure Milo “meets the market”. Success in product marketing as well as strong analytical, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills are required; experience in sales and value selling is a strong plus.
Own Milo product management establishing vision, strategy, and product roadmap and requirements. You will own Milo’s product roadmap, measure performance, identify risks and mitigations, and ensure we hit our commitments. You create MVPs and solicit market feedback with an eye toward failing-fast and iterating to achieve market fit and productization. You’ll lead Milo's product marketing strategy, creating marketing content (e.g. white papers, case studies, articles) and representing Humatics at industry events. Prior success in product marketing and management roles is required.
Provide vertical expertise in Milo’s markets serving as the internal expert on industrial automation and leading our capture of new markets. You have a technical and product background that enables you to understand customers’ challenges and objectives as well as effectively communicate Humatics’ products and value to a wide variety of stakeholders. You possess deep knowledge of industrial automation market dynamics, needs, and opportunities as well as the ability to effectively communicate them to inform decisions. Commercial experience in robotics and industrial automation is required.
Seamlessly collaborate to build the business. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and Management to continually improve products, deliver customer value, and grow business. You will play an active role in the technical sales process by contributing product content for sales discussions, proposals, and ongoing customer projects. You communicate, collaborate, and execute, even in the presence of ambiguity.
Central to succeeding in this role is (i) bringing Milo successfully to market in new industrial automation verticals; (ii) creating opportunity, not just responding to it; and (iii) defining and executing product roadmaps that maximize value to Humatics and our customers.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a some combination of product marketing, product management, and/or hardtech commercialization (ideally all), has a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or Technical Master’s degree a strong plus), and direct experience owning customer relationships and delivering product.
Candidates should be located in the greater Boston area; exceptional candidates elsewhere in the United States may be considered. Travel up to 30% of the time may be required including international travel (remote hires should expect 60-70% travel).
