The Director, Marketing at Name.com will lead all marketing functions, overseeing a high-performing team to drive customer acquisition, consideration, retention, and brand advocacy. This role manages a significant media budget, full-stack marketing programs-including brand, lifecycle, product, and partner marketing campaigns-all while leveraging analytics to optimize growth and ROI.
This role reports to the Vice President, General Manager.
What You'll Do
Leadership

  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and performance management to create a collaborative culture, model Identity Digital / Name.com values, and ensure success across global markets, while aligning talent acquisition with strategic investment areas
  • Act as a role model by consistently reflecting Identity Digital / Name.com Values in all interactions and decisions
  • Set and evangelize the marketing strategy and operating plan for Name.com, socializing and leading the plan across Sales, Product, Marketing and Engineering
  • Manage a seven figure media budget, ensuring all spend is accounted for and optimized
  • Other duties as assigned


Product Marketing

  • Develop and refine Name.com's value proposition, positioning, and messaging for key audiences
  • Lead and implement GTM strategy, ensuring alignment across all channels and new market expansion
  • Leverage consumer insights to enhance product-market fit and inform feature development
  • Partner with Product to drive demand, feature adoption, and launch marketing


Partner Marketing

  • Lead outbound/inbound marketing for Affiliate and Reseller programs, ensuring revenue, acquisition, and retention KPIs are met
  • Develop and manage Registry partner relationships, securing co-marketing funds to support the promotions calendar
  • Lifecycle Marketing
  • Execute lifecycle marketing strategies across the funnel, optimizing programs and leading quarterly experiments
  • Analyze customer data to shape retention strategies, working with product marketing to reduce churn
  • Collaborate with teams to scale the lifecycle program, create ad hoc campaigns, and refine customer journeys
  • Oversee agency partnerships, aligning on feedback, copy, legal review, and campaign performance


Growth & Affiliate

  • Develop and execute Name.com's growth marketing strategy for customer acquisition and retention
  • Lead and manage global paid and organic user growth through digital marketing channels (search, social, display, affiliates, video)
  • Oversee strategic acquisition and retention plans, leveraging lifecycle and account-based marketing best practices
  • Manage internal teams and agencies to optimize execution across all digital channels (search, social, display, affiliates, video, etc)


Brand & Social

  • Define and develop the brand story, working with agencies to create the voice, tone, visuals, and guidelines
  • Build and execute a brand marketing strategy across all channels (paid, owned, earned) to align with business objectives
  • Lead creative efforts and partner with agencies to enhance O&O experiences and social media strategy
  • Collaborate with the product team to ensure a consistent brand experience across all O&O touchpoints


Marketing Analytics

  • Own regular marketing reporting, sharing key insights and growth opportunities with leadership
  • Establish and socialize reporting benchmarks, KPIs for growth (volume, CAC, retention, LTV), retention, and customer acquisition
  • Determine support needed for scaling marketing functions (internal vs. external)


Who You Are / What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience leading a successful marketing organization, ideally within a high growth B2C tech company
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Experience leading campaigns that target SMBs/Entrepreneurs
  • Ability to drive both strategy and day to day execution in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to plan strategy, targets, and budget for the marketing organization
  • Skilled with CRM, SEO, SEM, and analytics tools such as Salesforce, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Tableau, Klayvio, and more
  • Experienced presenting to senior leadership, synthesizing complex campaigns into actionable insights and strategy
  • Proven ability to hire, retain, and develop diverse talent while cultivating an inclusive, positive culture of excellence
  • Experienced in managing, leading, and developing diverse teams while promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Expertise in business development and managing strategic partnerships, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and effectively engage individuals at all levels and disciplines within the organization
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization
  • Reliable transportation to the workplace

Salary Range
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000 - $190,000 plus benefits as described below. In addition, the successful candidate will be eligible to receive other compensation from time to time in the form of discretionary and/or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plan. Actual compensation will be influenced by a candidate's qualifications, internal employee equity considerations, and location. We will not ask for information about a candidate's current or past compensation for purposes of developing an offer of employment.
US team members (and their spouses, domestic partners, and/or dependent children) are covered by generously subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance which includes company contributions to a Health Savings Accounts. Team members are also covered by company-paid life and disability insurance and have the option of participating in employee-paid supplemental life, accidental death and dismemberment, critical illness, and accident insurance. In addition, team members can enroll in the company's 401(k) plan with up to a 5% match. You receive 15 days of paid vacation yearly, increasing to 20 days after one year. Additionally, you get 5 days of paid sick leave, 13 paid holidays, and 20 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents, 12 weeks for others. Also, there's an opportunity for tuition reimbursement for qualifying expenses.
