This person will oversee the IT infrastructure, systems, and security while enhancing data-driven decision-making through effective BI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership in a cloud-based environment, and a business-oriented approach that drives company growth.

This role requires deeper technical knowledge and a willingness to dive into the details to understand and support the platforms and solutions that drive our organization forward. We need someone who is not afraid to get hands-on and into the weeds, balancing strategic oversight with practical, technical contributions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the senior management and executive leadership teams, proactively assessing new technologies and digital trends and providing strategic recommendations on the best use of those technologies to align with the company's evolving objectives.
  • Develop and execute the IT and BI vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals. Lead cross-functional collaboration between IT, BI, and business units to optimize technology use across the organization.
  • Continuously assess current and planned technical architecture, investments, and solutions to ensure they meet business needs and support operational excellence.
  • Prepare and oversee IT and BI budgets to align with financial and strategic objectives while ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Oversee the preparation and utilization of internal and external data sets generated from diverse business and operational processes to drive efficiencies and support informed decision-making. Ensure data quality, trends, and freshness are managed to surface risks and insights effectively.
  • Build, develop, evaluate, and retain a highly skilled team of IT and BI professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability.
  • Promote a “business-first” mentality across IT and BI teams, emphasizing service to our internal teams, including Technical Solutions and Platform Support, and communicating the role of technology in achieving company goals.
  • Design, plan, implement, test and maintain the computing infrastructure and BI tools that support business operations and applications.  This includes gaining an understanding of our internal billing system and our Google platforms.
  • Ensure that all IT and BI operations are accurately planned, adequately staffed, effectively managed, and transparently reported, managing the IT and SaaS budgets.
  • Provide strategic and technical expertise while supporting the BI team in creating, building, testing, and delivering reports and dashboards with relevant visualizations.
  • Leverage deep system and data knowledge to meet stakeholders' criteria and drive actionable insights effectively.
  • Lead the development of data governance best practices, creating educational materials and training to guide the organization on effective data management and BI solutions. Support the BI team in recommending enhancements to business intelligence processes and methodologies.
  • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide information security program to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of all data.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with vendors and service providers for technology, telecommunications, BI services, and equipment.

Experience

  • 10+ years in technology roles with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven IT leadership in a fast-paced, cloud-based environment; experience in digital marketing or advertising is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in business intelligence, data management, project management and analytics, including leveraging BI tools to inform strategy.
  • Familiarity with key platforms and tools such as G Suite, Salesforce, Google Cloud Platform, Cisco, Slack, Apple, and leading BI tools, with the ability to quickly learn and manage new systems as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft and implement a strategic vision that aligns IT and BI initiatives with business objectives, delivering measurable results.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of building consensus and effectively sharing IT and BI vision across all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional business insight, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and resolving unexpected challenges with flexibility, professionalism, and a hands-on approach when necessary.
