The Director of Information Technology (IT) will lead our technology and information systems initiatives across the organization. This key leadership role encompasses team management, infrastructure oversight, data security, compliance, information assurance, and cyber protections. The role also includes company certifications, engineering/IT proposal support, and budget management, with a strong focus on maintaining and enhancing the organization's technological infrastructure and ensuring operational reliability.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships.
  • Manage PCI and PII to ensure compliance and risk reduction.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the technology team, fostering innovation and driving continuous improvement through weekly meetings.
  • Act as program manager and/or lead project manager for key technology initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend investments in technology solutions (hardware, software, services) to meet organizational needs.
  • Align the technology and information roadmap and budget with the Company’s business plans.
  • Collaborate on and facilitate cybersecurity practices to safeguard the company’s data and information assets.
  • Participate in business development activities to include strategy, technical solution development, staffing, and program execution.
  • Establish corporate technical refresh policies and procedures for end-of-life and obsolescence of equipment and software.
  • Establish and manage budget for IT investments including hardware and software.
  • Ensure the reliability of data backup and formulate efficient disaster recovery processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification preferred.
  • DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II Certification (CE – MCSE Server Infrastructure or equivalent with updated training) preferred.
  • Secret clearance preferred – must be able to obtain one within a reasonable time.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in leadership positions with demonstrated experience leading teams of IT professionals.
  • Experience documenting and implementing policies and procedures that comply with Government and Commercial cyber security requirements.
  • Ability to create, track, and report project plans to senior leadership to communicate status, issues, risks, and roadblocks.
  • Advanced knowledge of servers, networks, and business applications.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft 365, including in-depth knowledge of its various components and capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Proactive ability to identify organizational IT gaps, challenges, and risks; provide recommended solutions with implementation costs and timelines and execute approved solutions according to schedule and budget.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with leadership and employees regarding IT policies and impacts on operations.
  • Proactive approach to addressing employee IT issues and escalating to leadership as required.
  • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills to inspire and motivate teams.

Bonus Skills and Experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
