Job Description: Director Global Supply Chain, MRP/Execution

Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Department of Catalent is responsible for all aspects of planning, procurement, warehousing / logistics including the required master data management functionality to enable our ERP system. We aspire to utilize Monthly Master Production Scheduling, Weekly Production Planning and Buying as well as management of all levels of inventory through the use of MRP for work and purchase orders. This network role drives the setup and utilization of a common system (JD Edwards) while improving processes, and advanced technology to drive continuous improved planning, scheduling, and supply chain optimization. This role move site to site to actively develop teams and practices to create a network planning environment where one source of truth drives success.

The Role:
The Director MRP Execution will be a critical leader within the Supply Chain global organization focused initially on our BWI facility. This role is responsible for driving a scalable, cost efficient, and data-focused network planning function through developing processes, practices, systems and training for our site planning employees. This will include the establishment of an industry norm planning capability which aligns demand to available manufacturing capacity creating scenarios through modeling in times of scarcity. This role drives formality and rigor into our yearly, monthly and weekly processes. The role will be accountable for weekly management and reporting on inventory, ensuring on time delivery to our clients. Key efforts will be initiatives to support business efficiencies and savings. This leader will have ultimately have responsibility over a team of planning professional supporting site and divisional goals around inventory, service, and cost. This role will oversee day to day operations while improving outcomes through focused projects within the various sites and from divisional teams. He/She will work closely with all other functions within the plants as well as commercial and clinical business teams to implement divisional strategies.
The Role:
- Lead the hands on Planning workstream improvement efforts across all planning categories to ensure that volume is strategically allocated based on capacity, budget implications, and demand.
- Drive digital transformation and utilization of JD Edwards ERP system
- Manage and lead a team responsible for Qtrly, Monthly, Weekly production planning & scheduling, along with raw material requisitions and final packaging.
- Drive inventory turn goals leading to increased EBITDA.
- Ensure maintenance of all Master Data for Procurement, Planning, and ERP tool use and reporting.
- Create, improve and implement standard planning processes along our value stream.
- Coach and develop team members as they support the strategic sourcing process
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement through effective project management, identification of opportunities to drive efficiencies
- Collaborate with site leadership, site SLT teams as well as global supply chain to drive outcomes as assigned.
- Develop industry standard data flows from Demand development to production release supporting forecasting and budgeting efforts
The Candidate:
- 6-8 years of experience in healthcare manufacturing Supply Planning
- Experience Planning all aspects in formal integrated planning system (JDEs a large plus)
- Ability to teach and influence through demonstrative behavior and articulation of benefits cases.
- Background of using Excel and other methods to plan production and materials as transformation occurs.
- BA/BS degree in business, supply chain or related discipline, APICS and CPM certification a plus, MBA a plus
- Demonstrate problem solving with a value stream process improvement mindset
- Data-driven decision maker with quantitative and analytical mindset and experience
- Strong leader with demonstrated track record of managing large and diverse teams of both direct and indirect reports, with progressively increasing leadership/managerial experience
- Strong communication skills - who can easily communicate complex solutions cross functionally and to upper management
- Proven project management experience. Direct experience of lean and continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others, including integrating timelines and meeting milestones for successful project completion.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and drive results through others not under direct supervision.
- Establishes an effective, professional, and positive relationship with employees.
- Clarifies responsibilities and expectations and holds employees accountable. Recognizes and reinforces developmental efforts, progress, and improvements.
- Collaboratively works with direct reports to set meaningful performance objectives.
- The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $188,320 - $258,940 plus variable incentive compensation. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
