Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:


As the Director, Global Brand Management, you are the creator and owner of Arc’teryx Annual & Seasonal Brand Strategies, the ruthless editor and defender of our Brand and Activity positioning, and integrator of functional strategic plans that bring our product innovations to life with industry-defining uniqueness and clarity. Part visionary, part integrator, and part operator, you will drive strategy and integration across the global functional teams to build world-class brand and campaign strategies that drive awareness and consumer engagement across regions and channels.


You will empower creativity across the business through evangelizing and shepherding our strategies. As well as support the evolution of our cross-functional strategic integration. You and your team of well-established direct reports will partner closely with Product Design, Merchandising, Regional Marketing, Brand Creative, Brand Communications, and Brand Integration teams to build and execute Arc’teryx’s world class integrated brand campaigns, both within the organization and externally with our consumer and guests.


This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to a hybrid working. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.


Meet Your Future Team:


The Brand Marketing team is the direct connection between the guest and the Arc’teryx brand through content and experience. We work in lockstep with our Regional Brand, Creative, Communications, Sports Marketing, Community, and Operational Teams, as well as our Partners and Agencies to create experiences and tell stories that are relevant, thought-provoking and true to who we are.

If you were in the Director, Global Brand Management role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Driving strategic integration across a diverse team of strategists and brand managers
  • Ensuring our North Star is the center point of our strategic plans
  • Managing, building, and coaching a high-performance team to deliver on global brand strategies
  • Attending and leading global reports and share-outs quarterly and other annual leadership meetings
  • Fostering close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Design, Merchandising, and Commercial 
  • Leveraging consumer and guest insights, market trends, and competitive analysis to inform and drive strategic decisions
  • Using your voice as a leader to directly drive and influence the creation of globally resonant and innovative brand campaigns that amplify Arc'teryx's presence across all channels
  • Working with our Brand Intelligence team to establish performance metrics and KPIs at a seasonal and campaign level to gauge the impact of brand initiatives, and continually refine strategies based on data-driven insights
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key external partners, agencies, and stakeholders to maximize collaboration and influence
  • Maintaining close partnership with our regional brand leaders to drive consistent seasonal strategies globally
  • Drive Brand GTM Strategy as part of the cross functional Go-to-Market process
  • Leading key cross-functional and global integrated meetings and presenting strategy and product stories to excite and inspire stakeholders in the business

Are you our next Director, Global Brand Management?

  • You are authentically connected to and acutely aware of the outdoor industry, technical outdoor product, and are connected to the culture of outdoor sport, specifically Climb, Snow, and Trail and understand the highest-level of mountain athlete performance
  • You have extensive and direct experience working successfully in a nuanced, globally matrixed organization with a keen understanding of key market needs and differences across North America, EMEA, and Asia
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, like to build new strategies and processes, and have a Yes, And mentality to make existing ones better.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field 
  • You have 10+ years’ experience in leading strategic and integrated functions for a global apparel and/or footwear brand
  • You’ve built a successful career on collaborating and inspiring ideas that have led to significant and successful campaigns in the outdoor industry (both vertical and wholesale)
  • You have a proven track record in developing and leading the execution of an annual and seasonal brand strategies
  • You have strong business acumen with the ability to lead in a complex matrix business environment
  • You have proven people leadership skills and the ability to build, coach and guide a diverse and high performing team
  • You have strong influential leadership, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • You can execute on a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives
  • You have a strong awareness of the Arc’teryx brand, product, and consumer and guest
  • You understand the retail and digital landscape including the latest trends and innovations
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions through your growth mindset
  • You seek the best (not necessarily the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and strive for continuous improvement
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
