Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Director of Financial and Personnel Operations - Boca Raton, FL.
The Director of Financial and Personnel Operations serves as the primary point of contact on all financial, budgetary, human resource, and day to day operations for the College. Areas of responsibility include management of all financial accounting operations, including development of the annual operating budget, preparation of regular budget reports, oversight of state, federal grant and foundation funding, purchasing and fiscal management, and fiscal management of all College business matters.
Summary of Responsibilities:

Serves as College of Nursing’s liaison with the Provost's office on all financial, budgetary and human resource (HR) matters.

Develops and implements University fiscal policies and procedures related to College of Nursing, ensuring compliance with State standards. Interpret University and State policies and procedures; develop procedures to comply with audit recommendations. Formulate, coordinate and maintain fiscal policies within the area of College of Nursing; assure adherence to same.

Provides leadership and direction in policy development. Works directly with the Dean of the College of Nursing and the Office of the Provost to develop, implement, administer and evaluate programs to accomplish the mission and goals of the College of Nursing in alignment with the mission and vision of FAU as they relate to all fiscal (financial and budgetary) and administrative issues.

Interacts daily with the Dean and all Associate and Assistant Deans and Directors, as well as faculty, students and administrative staff within the University, other State agencies, and vendors. Scope of contact includes disseminating information, responding to inquiries, negotiating fees and services, and providing direct assistance and instruction on budgetary matters and personnel issues.

Oversees personnel matters for the Dean and trains and assists the departments in all aspects of budgetary, financial, and personnel matters.

Trains and assists finance and HR employees within the college.

Assists with development of strategies leading to the successful accreditation of the College of Nursing.

Provides financial oversight of Memory and Wellness Center, Community Health Center, Auxiliary and Foundation budgets and preparation and submission of Research Center's Annual Reports to Board of Governors.

Provides financial oversight of College of Nursing’s auxiliary, self-supporting programs; supports, and analyzes their/its budgetary, human resource, and financial operations, as necessary.

Provides personnel and financial data for surveys to outside agencies (i.e. American Association of College of Nursing, Southern Regional Education Board). Represents the College of Nursing on the Workday related committees.

Oversees the College of Nursing's Clinical Practice Organization (CPO) for the College, the Memory and Wellness Center, the FAU Community Health Center and the FAU Northwest Community Health Alliance, Inc. clinic.

Identifies appropriate clinical billing consultants for the College of Nursing's Clinical Practice Organization (CPO), the Memory and Wellness Center, the FAU Community Health Center and the FAU Northwest Community Health Alliance, Inc. clinic and makes arrangements for review and training of providers and staff as necessary.

Represents Nursing on the Faculty Practice/CPO/SIP Logistics Group.

Prepares consolidated budgets for presentation to the CPO board.

Reviews and analyzes all clinical revenue reports of receivables, billings and payments for the CHC and MWC clinics.

Oversees, supports, and analyzes all FAU Community Health Center and FAU Northwest Community Health Alliance, Inc. clinic’s budgetary, HR and financial operations and reporting.

Works with all FAU departments and other internal/external constituents on financial and operational transactions and related reporting.

Consolidates all clinical practice data for the College and Centers to submit for the annual Self Insurance Premium (SIP) liability coverage, serving as direct point of contact and liaison on all inquiries.

Provides consultation, oversight, expertise, direction, and support on all ad hoc projects as assigned.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
