In this field-based position, the Director, Field Reimbursement, reports to Senior Director, Field Reimbursement in the Dupixent Business Unit.

Main Responsibilities:

In this field-based position, the Director, Field Reimbursement will be responsible for successfully hiring and leading a Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) team to become the field subject matter experts relating to patient support, access, reimbursement, prior authorization, appeal, financial assistance, and other business-related issues within the Dupixent Business Unit throughout the defined Zone. The Director will be called upon to successfully lead and motivate their Team to execute the National FRM strategy, supporting the initiatives set forth in the business plan to include:

  • Manage/Resolve Day to Day Zone related objectives/issues that affect items within the FRM Scope of Work. Escalate to Senior Director when necessary.

  • Lead a team of FRMs in the development of territory and account business plans and account specific strategies and tactics that optimize business performance

  • Attract, develop, empower, and retain key talent by using innovative approaches to recognition and minimize regrettable attrition

  • The FRMs will be the subject matter experts on patient support, access, reimbursement, prior authorizations, appeals, financial assistance offerings from Dupixent My Way, patient pull through and other business-related issues

  • Spend time in the field with Field Reimbursement Managers to support individual development, help with issue resolution as well as provide coaching, direction, and feedback

  • Working within the Alliance Directors plan, design and implement territory alignments to support overall performance

  • Establish positive working relationships with all key customer segments (internal and external)

  • Partner with Alliance colleagues to create a culture of respect and customer focus

  • Lead the development, review and implementation of Reimbursement programs and tools that strengthens reimbursement support services, align with brand initiatives within the Dupixent BU.

  • Understand and adhere to all policies and procedures to coordinate local market activities with Sanofi Genzyme Account Teams for removing reimbursement obstacles and gain coverage for Dupixent in a proactive manner

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of pull through, reimbursement and coverage issues within the zone and maintain open lines of communication within the Patient Service Teams, Alliance, Sales Management Teams, Policy, Government Affairs, and brands teams by providing them with timely and actionable information working together to resolve issues. Communicate and collaborate effectively and transversally with other Field Reimbursement Directors, Key Accounts field team, Brand Marketing, Market Access Teams and Field Teams and Senior Management to facilitate achievement of objectives

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree required

  • 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry

  • The Director, Field Reimbursement is expected to be field-based, capable of covering the assigned geography. 

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialty Biologics experience strongly preferred

  • Prior experience managing a team of employees or relevant experience. 

  • Reimbursement/Access experience strongly preferred

  • Must be an energetic, driven dynamic leader

  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, communication and leadership skills required

  • Significant experience and understanding of the ever-changing Payer environment and its impact on access

  • Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment (sales, market access, customer service, medical affairs, marketing) and co-promote

  • Ability to quickly assemble and develop a high performing experienced team

  • Must achieve and maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules and procedures, and require the same of his/her team

Travel Requirements:

  • 50-75%travel, depending on zone

  • Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary

The salary range for this position is:

$172,500.00 - $249,166.66
