Anduril’s supply chain, accounting, sales & growth, engineering, modeling & simulation, field maintenance, manufacturing, and many more teams rely on the technology built and maintained by our team. ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director to lead the establishment and operation of our first-ever smart factory, Arsenal-01. This role will be pivotal in integrating advanced technologies, managing robot-human collaboration, and ensuring seamless operations across the factory. The successful candidate will oversee the development of a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that will employ 4,000 people once fully operational.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute strategic plans for the smart factory, focusing on innovation, efficiency, and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI, IoT, and robotics technologies.
- Factory Design: Oversee the deployment and management of systems that simulate and optimize factory lines and resources.
- Robot Teaming and Automation: Oversee the deployment and management of robotic systems, ensuring effective human-machine collaboration. Develop strategies to optimize robot performance and improve production workflows.
- Smart Factory Solutions Deployment: Lead the implementation of smart factory solutions, including predictive maintenance, quality control systems, and data analytics platforms. Ensure these systems enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
- Operational Excellence: Implement lean manufacturing principles and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Conduct regular audits to maintain operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate project progress and strategic decisions to senior management and external partners. Build strong relationships with suppliers and technology vendors.
- Agile Development: Work with partners in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain departments while embracing a first principles approach, working backwards from the ground up to create new and better approaches to manufacturing that incorporate automation
- Standardization: Work with IT counter parts to establish standards for how the factory supports technicians, from how their workstations get set up, what hardware they use, what network engineering is necessary, etc.
- Change Management: Facilitate organizational change by promoting a culture that embraces technological advancements and process improvements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing automation management, with a focus on smart factory technologies and automation like smart carts, human-machine interaction, industrial robotics, and autonomous indoor vehicles
- Proven track record of successfully implementing large-scale automation projects and managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution of digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies, including AI, IoT, and robotics.
US Salary Range
$204,000—$306,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
