In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. The Position
Accountable for overseeing the IT operation and staffs in US based API locations, contribute to DD&IT PS API Strategy, and lead business decisions to drive company growth. Collaborate with local Site Management and Global IT Management team, implement strategic plans and manage relationships locally and globally. Functionally direct and indirect responsible for >50 employees/ which deliver services that impact local site and international sites.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate actively with the site management, DD&IT PS API Management and Site DD&IT PS API Leaders to identify, create and implement strategic plans to align business objectives while fostering organizational culture acting as the essential link between Site Clayton and the DD&IT PS organization
  • Key driver in the PS API network to support strategic goals with future technologies and competences development ensuring strategic projects in alignment for all global functions
  • Foster the organizational culture and promote transparency and collaboration throughout the organization
  • Ensure delivery of services according to SLAs offered to local or global sites ensuring running operation 24/7 as well as ensuring appropriate problem solving and its countermeasure implementation for LoB
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders across all layers at the site to identify business and technology needs to optimize the use of Information & Operational Technologies
  • Identify potential sources of investment and organize fundraising efforts
  • Build an IT road map to get strategic direction for assets, monitor advancements in the industry, recommend & implement new technologies that help meet customer demands, as well as production goals/agreements for the site
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities within the organization and its environment to protect business interests
  • Collaborate with department leadership & provide oversight for development, coaching, performance management, recruitment & employee relations
  • Identify, recruit, train and develop a talented team of employees capable of managing core departments and strategic business functions
  • Monitor site IT operations and ensure employees and business practices comply with regulatory, legal requirements
  • Develop, manage, and track the IT site annual budget managing cost expectations
  • Define, implement & process confirm dynamic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Lead & motivate others to drive productivity improvement initiatives & projects
  • Responsible for ensuring that department personnel live the cLEAN culture
  • Establish & maintain the overall strategic perspective for the department including overall oversight of the systems life cycle
  • Ensure infrastructure, systems & applications are available, capable, & accessible to meet production & business requirements following all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Ensure department is operating in accordance with internal/external regulations & governance

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.
Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.
Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a directly related field of study from an accredited university required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing organization required; pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of managing other managers required
  • Proven expertise in mentoring/development, change management, planning/organizing, managing execution & revising the work plan for complex problems solved by cross functional teams required
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills required
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or LEAN with strong process improvement, systematic troubleshooting & problem- solving skills required
  • Meet or exceed customer, business, ethical & regulatory requirements in accordance with company policies & the NN Way required
