The Director of Counterintelligence is responsible for leading and managing the counterintelligence (CI) functions across Anduril Industries globally. This executive role involves the development and implementation of strategies to identify, deter, and mitigate foreign intelligence entities' and insiders attempts to collect sensitive information or conduct espionage activities against the company's assets, personnel, and technologies. The director will work closely with government agencies, industry partners, and internal stakeholders to safeguard national security interests and the company’s proprietary information. The Counterintelligence Director must possess a deep understanding of espionage tactics and the ability to lead complex counterintelligence activities. They must be vigilant, strategic, and proactive in their approach to protecting sensitive information and technologies critical to national security.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and oversee the execution of a comprehensive counterintelligence program tailored to the defense industry's unique threats and requirements.
- Coordinate with federal agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and the FBI, to align company CI activities with national security priorities.
- Lead efforts to identify potential espionage indicators, insider threats, and vulnerabilities within the organization.
- Advise senior leadership on counterintelligence matters, threats, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage a team of counterintelligence professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective CI operations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry counterparts to share best practices and threat intelligence.
- Oversee the investigation of suspected CI incidents and the development of appropriate response measures.
- Conduct regular security briefings and training sessions for employees to foster a culture of security awareness and vigilance.
- Implement security policies and procedures that comply with government regulations and contractual obligations.
- Monitor global intelligence and security trends to adapt CI measures proactively.
- Manage the budget and resources allocated to the counterintelligence program.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Security Studies, Intelligence, Political Science, or a related field or equivalent experience in addition to 15 years counterintelligence and 5 years executive management experience
- Extensive experience in counterintelligence within the defense sector or government agencies.
- Demonstrated understanding of the intelligence threats facing the defense industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Active security clearance at an appropriate level (Top Secret/SCI may be required).
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing defense industry security.
US Salary Range
$168,000—$252,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
