The Contracts Director with lead and direct the Contracts Department and oversees cradle to grave contract lifecycle functions while managing the day-to-day operations of the contract administration group and creating a team environment. This position is responsible for ensuring all new contracts, renewals/invoices are accurate, in compliance with company policy, as well as statutory regulations, and generated timely within the parameters required for internal and external deadlines. You'll manage the Contracts team to oversee, facilitate, draft, and negotiate contracts in support of the organization. They are responsible for ensuring that the Contract team is properly trained and educated on all existing/new regulations, policies & procedures, product information, systems, etc., in order to deliver on their responsibilities, accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Establishes appropriate reporting and control procedures related to contract management, operating efficiently at lowest cost and staying within established budgets
- Coordinates and collaborates with program teams to execute contractual obligations
- Effective in planning, organizing and efficiently handling contracting activities and elimination of unnecessary activities
- Generates, negotiates, and manages all non-disclosure agreements (NDA), teaming agreements, subcontracting agreements, master award contracts, task orders, authorizations to proceed and memoranda of understanding (MOU), statements of work (SOW), and conflicts of interest reporting and tracking
- Collaborates with the business development and proposal teams in support of requests for information (RFI), Sources Sought, requests for proposals (RFP), requests for quotes (RFQ), receipt of other official government requests for product information, and status of awarded contracts.
- Manages the preparation, transmission, and monitoring of correspondence relating to contractual obligations; assures maintenance of adequate files, which accurately reflect the status and history of contract performance.
- Demonstrates familiarity with the laws and regulations applicable to government contracting, including without limitation the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), ITAR, and Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP)
- Complies with Federal, State and local laws and regulations associated with the procurement of services by various governmental entities.
- Establishes and maintains contractual relationships.
- Recommends changes and contracts management strategies and operations, adapts to necessary changes from old methods, identifies new methods and generates improvement in company performance
- Maintains systems and processes to ensure strict contract compliance in a standard manner
- Maintains knowledge of methods, techniques and skills required in contract-related functions, and remains current on new developments in the field
- Interacts closely and frequently with key internal departments to support and carry out assigned responsibilities
- Responds to internal and external customers with courtesy when dealing with staff and vendors
- Supports contract backlog efforts, coordinating with growth and delivery for contract directed forecasting
- Ensures that all systems operate smoothly and, in coordination with QA Manager, align with ISO and CMMI quality standards

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility. The range of starting pay for this role is $144,854 - $192,564 and information on benefits offered is here.
