How You’ll Make a Difference
As our Director, Sales and Commercial Training, you’ll lead the design, development, and execution of impactful training initiatives across our commercial organization. This leader will drive excellence across field sales, marketing, and market access teams by instilling core competencies in product knowledge, account-based selling, and competitive agility.
As we prepare for the commercial launch of anitocabtagene autoleucel (anito-cel), our lead CAR T candidate for patients with relapsed refractory multiple myeloma, this role will be instrumental in creating scalable learning solutions that are compliant, engaging, and aligned with our core values.
This position requires close partnership with Commercial, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and our co-promote partner, Kite Pharma.
The “Fine Print” – What You’ll Do
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of all training programs across sales and commercial functions, including onboarding, disease state education, selling skills, technology platforms, and launch readiness.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and Value & Access leadership to identify capability gaps and training needs, and translate insights into practical, high-impact learning solutions.
- Design and deliver content that supports omnichannel and account-based selling, aligned with adult learning principles.
- Develop frameworks for assessing training effectiveness and track progress via KPIs and field performance metrics.
- Lead impactful training sessions during national and regional meetings, POAs, and launch readiness summits.
- Support the development and upskilling of field trainers and serve as a mentor across the Commercial team.
- Champion a culture of curiosity, performance, and continuous learning.
Skills and Experience We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in biotech/pharma, or an advanced degree and 8+ years of experience in biotech/pharma, with a mix of sales, sales leadership, commercial training, and marketing experience.
- At least 3 years leading sales training and development initiatives; experience launching oncology products is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to translate strategy into executable training roadmaps in both startup and growth-stage environments.
- Solid understanding of CAR T, hematologic malignancies, or cell therapy a major plus.
- Deep knowledge of learning and development frameworks, instructional design, and adult learning principles.
- Experience with CRM, LMS, and content approval systems (e.g., Veeva Vault, Salesforce, Zoom).
- Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Travel up to 20% required (including national meetings, field rides, and congresses).

The base salary range for this position is $215,000 - $235,000 per year. Where a candidate falls within that range is determined by factors such as years of experience. Our compensation package also includes an annual bonus based on company goals and an equity (RSU) grant. We do offer relocation assistance for roles if required.
