About the role
In this high impact role, you will have a direct hand in shaping the culture and growth of Two Chairs while delivering on our mission to build a world where we all have access to exceptional mental health care. In this role, you will oversee a team of Managers and Senior Managers to support the delivery of exceptional clinical care and own cross-functional strategic projects and initiatives that drive clinical and business outcomes. You will sit on the Clinical Leadership Team and report to the Senior Director of Clinical Care.
Core Areas of Responsibility
Team Oversight and Leadership [60%]
- Lead a team of 6-8 Managers and/or Senior Managers and a distributed organization of 75+ Clinicians while fostering a clinical culture that engages and retains high-performing individuals and holds team members accountable to performance standards.
- Use data to drive decision making and to design and implement Clinician and clinical leader performance and development plans.
- Champion the use of technology, data, and feedback-informed care in clinical practice.
- Own all aspects of team performance within purview including: planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
- Deliver on key performance indicators, including but not limited to utilization, clinician engagement and retention, etc.
- Develop and deliver on clinician engagement and professional growth initiatives.
- Monitor adherence to legal/ethical guidelines, internal policies, and quality standards.
- Lead with cultural competency and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Provide clinical guidance around escalated client issues.
- Collaboratively build an exceptional client customer experience.
- Communicate the needs and priorities of the clinical team to non-clinical internal partners and vice versa.
Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives [35%]
- Lead company or division level strategic initiatives while collaborating closely with clinical and non-clinical cross-functional partners. Past projects include: partnering with product & engineering teams to overhaul our client scheduling tool, leading change management process around length of care initiatives, and supporting the roll out of a new EMR system.
- Act as a clinical thought leader by collaborating across departments to move company initiatives forward and influence key stakeholders including non-clinical and executive leadership.
- Balance clinical judgment with business acumen to drive decision making that impacts the clinician experience, processes, and business outcomes.
- Drive change processes with empathy across the organization including anticipating and planning for barriers.
Clinical [5%]
- Manage a small panel of 1-2 ongoing clients or regular consult sessions.

- You’ll have an understanding of your team, the organizational structure, OKRs, areas of opportunity, and your key strategic initiatives.
- You’ll be comfortable utilizing our systems to track and manage your team’s performance.
- You’ll understand the ins and outs of our clinical care model and the tools we use to support it.
Where you’ll make an impact in the first year:
- You’ll be making decisions and organizing quickly with cross-functional work, monitoring progress, and learning how to adjust quickly.
- You’ll deliver on key strategic initiatives that drive company OKRs.
- You’ll continue building and developing your clinical team.
You’ll be successful if you have:
- An active license in clinical psychology (PhD or PsyD from an accredited university) or LCSW/LICSW/LMFT/LMHC/LPCC
- 4 or more years (6 or more years preferred) of experience managing a team of licensed clinicians, including 2+ years of experience managing other managers
- Experience leading large (6-8 direct reports and 75+ indirect reports), remote, distributed teams in a data-driven, fast-paced, rapid change environment with demonstrable experience in driving results and sustained improvement, building teams, and developing people
- Exceptional clinical skills: expertise in managing clinical crises, providing substantive case consultation, navigating ethics issues, and providing great client experiences
- Robust critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate with and influence non-clinical stakeholders
- Experience and interest in incorporating clinical diagnostic and assessment instruments (e.g., PHQ-9) to monitor client progress and treatment outcomes
- Excellent technology skills demonstrated through comfort with EMR systems, data systems, Google Suite, and the ability to learn new tools quickly
- Knowledge of and history of maintaining HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality
- Adherence to policy, procedures, and professional code of ethics
- Experience providing exceptional care to clients in a secure and confidential space over HIPAA compliant platforms

Zone 1 / San Francisco Bay Area and New York City | $147,900 - $200,100
New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $147,900 and $174,000
Zone 2 / California (Non-SF), Austin, Boston, Chicago, DC, Portland, Seattle | $136,000 - $184,000
New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $136,000 and $160,000
Zone 3 / Washington State (Non-Seattle), Denver, Miami, Philadelphia | $124,100 - $167,900
