The Role:

The Director of Card Marketing will be responsible for managing and optimizing key marketing campaigns for our Sunbit Credit Card and Co-branded Credit Card business. This includes overseeing the invitation to apply credit card program, managing automated cardholder servicing email journeys, and leading pre-screen cardholder acquisition efforts via email and direct mail. Additionally, this role will manage the full lifecycle of a cardholder, from acquisition to ongoing usage and servicing, ensuring that every touchpoint drives engagement and loyalty.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating targeted, high-performing acquisition campaigns and will have a strong background in lifecycle marketing. You will need to work closely with cross-functional teams, including strategy & operations, product, and analytics, to build smart segments, optimize performance, and drive results.



Requirements

What You'll Own:

  • Lead the development and execution of acquisition and lifecycle marketing strategies for the Sunbit Credit Card and Co-branded Credit Card programs.
  • Manage the invitation to apply credit card program and oversee complex, automated email journeys for both cardholder servicing and pre-screen acquisition campaigns.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of cardholders, from acquisition through to ongoing usage and servicing, driving engagement and optimizing long-term customer relationships.
  • Build and manage smart segments to drive effective targeting and personalization across all campaigns.
  • Collaborate with strategy & operations, product, and analytics teams to optimize campaigns, analyze performance, and refine marketing strategies.
  • Work with a direct mail house to execute pre-screen cardholder acquisition campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance and attention to detail in all campaigns, navigating the regulatory landscape of consumer financing products.
  • Lead the charge in developing innovative marketing strategies and initiatives for continued growth.
  • Focus on high-quality content and messaging to effectively communicate with consumers and improve conversion rates.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of funnel management to maximize customer acquisition, retention, and growth.

What You Bring To The Table: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing (MBA is a plus).
  • Proven experience in acquisition campaigns and lifecycle marketing, preferably in a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of email marketing platforms, specifically Iterable and Stripo.
  • Experience working with major credit bureaus and managing direct mail campaigns.
  • Expertise in funnel management, reporting and performance optimization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on compliance and accuracy in marketing communications.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a track record of driving results in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous leadership experience or potential for future leadership growth.
  • Experience working with consumer financing products is a plus.
