Actively drive the implementation of project deliverables defined in a project charter while ensuring the budget, scope, schedule, risk and quality meet specific success criteria. Focus will be to build and implement business transformation and change frameworks for Bank products and operation processes while ensuring risk management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategize and Plan:
- Ensure the project deliverables are strategically aligned with business objectives and defined for the team.
- Define, estimate, and schedule project tasks and interdependencies to achieve the scope through a clearly defined project plan/ work breakdown structure.
- Identify project resource requirements and work with Steering Committee/ Project Sponsor/ Project Management Office to ensure adequately skilled resources are available to deliver on project commitments.
Implementation and Operationalize:
- Analyze current as is processes, recognize pain points and areas of improvements basis which can design/ enhance the future processes and ensure implementation through automation and digitalization while ensuring risk management and designing / testing controls upfront.
- Partner with SMEs/ Business/ Delivery teams to support design, build, test, and delivery to production.
- Get feedback, implement changes, and gain agreement from risk and compliance on enhanced process and controls flow.
- Manage cross commits and its impact on process designing.
- Ensure business readiness including training, communications, and materials.
- Escalate to the Steering Committee/ Project Sponsor risks and issues with potential significant impact.
- Transition project into daily business operations at the end of the project.
Stakeholder management:
- Consistently provide internal and external stakeholder communications and progress reports that effectively outline the project status, risks, issues, and action plans to ensure success.
- Work effectively with business partners, vendors, technology, risk, compliance, internal audit, and project management staff to develop the project agenda and ensure agreement/ adoption of project objectives/ deliverables by all affected constituencies.
Required Qualifications
- 14+ years of experience in Banking Industry with 5+ years of strong background in end-to-end Program delivery/ Process creation, transformation, and re-engineering/ Digital transformation.
- Candidates must have experience leading visible, large complex process improvement projects from design to delivery.
- Should have strong executive ready presentations skillsets and experience working with senior leaders.
- Solid understanding of Project Management methodology, tools, and techniques.
- Competency in adapting to changing environment and ambiguous situations.
- Attention to detail and ability to drive results
- Desire to satisfy requirements from multiple customers/stakeholders
- The ability to quickly sift through concepts and drill down into actionable steps
- Objective decision-making ability, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to adjust quickly to changing situations and the ability to drive results through ambiguous environments or unexpected obstacles
- Postgraduate in finance/ business/ technology
