Global Direct Tax and Transfer Pricing Manager 

In this role you will have a lot of freedom, initiate or drive direct tax and transfer pricing projects that are aligned with Adyen's growth and the direct tax & transfer pricing strategy. 

Reporting to the Global Head of Tax and working closely with the direct tax & transfer pricing lead, this role is part of our central tax team in Amsterdam. You will work closely with your colleagues in other tax areas and partner up with Group Finance and the broader business.

What you'll do

• Manage our current direct tax & transfer pricing set-up and ensure it’s well structured for our continued growth and global expansion
• Work independently on individual projects and in cooperation with other team members on group projects to ensure that Adyen’s direct tax and transfer pricing structure is well set up for our continued growth and global expansion
• Look after the direct tax and transfer pricing aspects of our (new) products
• Optimize and streamline operational transfer pricing and tax provisioning processes
• Automate manual tasks to ensure the direct tax & transfer pricing function (incl. related compliance) is as efficient as possible
• Manage transfer compliance obligations (master file / local file / CbCR)
• Serve as a point of contact for direct tax & transfer pricing matters for designated countries 
• Review and automate tax provisions and review tax returns
• Manage tax audits, as and when they arise 
• Manage projects with both internal and external stakeholders

Who you are

• You have a background in Tax or Accounting
• You’re passionate about all things direct tax and transfer pricing and love to share your knowledge in a simple and non-complex way with non-tax colleagues
• You take ownership and enjoy driving multiple projects involving a wider range of stakeholders
• You’re hands-on and not afraid of diving into the numbers yourself
• You have experience with transfer pricing projects 
• You’ve experience with tax accounting or are willing to learn
• You have excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate tax into practical and scalable business solutions
• You have a mindset of constantly improving, automating and scaling
• You’re a team player and gain a lot of energy from working together with a broad group of colleagues to achieve Adyen’s goals
• In-house experience or experience at a regulated financial institution is a plus
