We are currently seeking a Programming Strategy Director to join our streaming operations team based in our New York, New York headquarters.
JOB SUMMARY
This position will play a pivotal role on AMC Entertainment’s Networks and Streaming Products team, reporting directly to the VP of Streaming Programming Strategy and assisting in the scheduling and content curation strategy and execution on AMC+.
This role will own our streaming content calendar and the execution of launches of Original Programming on AMC+. He/she will work at the intersection between Scheduling, Marketing, and Product to identify opportunities in scheduling and windowing that improve engagement, reduce churn, and optimize the user experience on one of our most critical DTC platforms.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the direction of the VP of Streaming Programming Strategy, assist in developing and communicating strategic positions that inform long-term development planning for AMC+

Lead execution of original launch strategies for the platform across Scheduling, Marketing, and Product functions

Drive the AMC+ streaming content calendar and identification of iterative opportunities to promote content offering

Manage scheduling and programming curation strategy and execution across O&O DTC product and Partner Platforms

Liaise with necessary stakeholders around partner merchandising recommendations, understanding merchandising goals and capitalizing on opportunities

Develop deep understanding of content performance by using self-service tools and partnering with BI, research, and data teams to produce insightful analysis that is business-first and has actionable learnings

Maintain knowledge of competitive landscape in content offering for competitive cohorts and ensure senior leaders and key stakeholders are aware of trends

Identify opportunities and whitespace in content offerings on AMC+

Engage with all stakeholders in AMCN’s Entertainment division and across the organization, particularly stakeholders in Content Development, Marketing and Product
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

Bachelor’s degree

7-10 years of relevant work experience

Experience in programming windowing strategy and efforts, with a demonstrable background of identifying outside-the-box opportunities to achieve audience goals

Demonstrated expertise in content scheduling and audience metrics (acquisition, engagement, retention, churn, etc.)

Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence, including the ability to collaborate between diverse teams and individuals

Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, and a persuasive, proactive and passionate communication style, with the ability to build relationships with multiple constituencies, including within AMC Entertainment, and with senior management
The base compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 commensurate with experience.
