Digitalisation Project Manager

EUROAPI is a leading supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), spun out from Sanofi on May 6, 2022 and listed on EURONEXT, with the aim of becoming a global champion in API solutions and CDMO. The company has a diversified portfolio of approximately 200 APIs for its API Solutions business and its CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) activities. With more than 150 years of experience in the API market, around 3,350 employees and a consolidated turnover of approximately €1 billion in 2023, EUROAPI has six production sites and development centers equipped with state-of-the-art technology, all located in Europe (France, Germany, Hungary, Italy and the UK).

The purpose of the job: Compile the Digital Agenda (roadmap) for the designated site and projects, and supervise the implementation of these projects. The role also entails supporting on-site savings targets through the application of digital tools, as well as the development of a lean mindset in the implementation and use of such tools.

Main tasks & responsibilities

• Manage the Site Digitalisation programme and the work of the team involved, in particular the Project Officers (Operational Excellence - Digital Projects), prepare the Site Digital Master Plan (including required headcount, OPEX, CAPEX costs and savings plan) and report on implementation.

• Responsible for the annual review of the Site Digital programme and monthly reporting of costs and savings in the Performance Plan.

• Play a key role in the Euroapi digitalisation community as the main point of contact between the global digital functions and the site.

• Actively participate in the planning, implementation and reporting of proof of concept activities.

• Monitor and ensure that implemented digital solutions are being used correctly and delivering the expected business savings.

• Identify digital solutions and opportunities and propose their implementation. Constantly strive for excellence and innovation, identifying digital development opportunities to support our site as a pilot site for other Euroapi factories.

• Monitor Industry 4.0 initiatives and propose solutions that can be implemented in our factory.

• Manage individual projects in the site's digital programme (coordinating site colleagues and disciplines involved in the project, maintaining and tracking task lists, ensuring tasks are completed on time, planning and tracking time requirements).

• Coordinate the collaboration between ITS and departments on digital projects.

• Present the digital programme tools, their status and progress through internal and international events and communication channels.

• Develops the Lean maturity of the site, reinforcing the Lean mindset and approach.

• Promotes and champions sustainable and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Engineering and/or IT degree

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in IT and automation project management

• Experience in LEAN transformation and performance management

• Relevant experience in a manufacturing company

• Proficiency in database communication

• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and digitalisation efforts

You may also have

• Experience in operating industrial and office networks

• Knowledge of chemical/pharmaceutical technologies and processes

• Experience in industrial applications of VR (virtual reality) or AI (artificial intelligence), and understanding of the language of the field and ability to liaise with the technical team and external partners on solutions
