Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead an internal team to develop and implement digital solutions required by customers on next generation programs
  • Support all digital requirements of the cross-functional Integrated Product Support team
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the development of Model Based Sustainment / Model Based Product Support capabilities
  • Ensure Model Based Sustainment / Model Based Product Support capabilities integrate into the Model Based Enterprise framework and enable the customer to realize maximum value
  • Lead the integration and data exchange among multiple Department of Defense, Airframer, and  GE Aerospace digital and IT systems to support customer requirements
  • Partner with GE Digital Technology teams to align digital Integrated Product Support strategies with business priorities and funding
  • Work collaboratively across multiple organizations, including Reliability Engineering, Maintainability Engineering, Supportability Engineering and Product Support teams to identify software capabilities required to meet customer defined scope and deliverables
  • Develop standard processes and standard work across multiple Edison Works programs
  • Derive functional requirements from internal and external stakeholders, assess technical documentation, build use case definitions, and drive priority with cross-functional teams
  • Identify requirement gaps and process shortfalls and take initiative to solve problems
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly management oversight utilizing GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK (GE’s Proprietary Lean Operating Model) principles to drive team progress and achieve defined program milestones and objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college + Minimum of 5 years of experience with IT requirements definition, implementation, and integration within a business enterprise (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years experience with IT requirements definition, implementation, and integration within a business enterprise.
  • Ability to develop strategies, action plans, and processes with minimum oversight in order to support a customer-driven digital integrated product support strategy
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with IT requirements definition, implementation, and integration within a business enterprise
  • This role is restricted to U.S. Citizens
  • Must have or qualify for a U.S. Government Secret Clearance
  • Ability to work full-time, on-site at GE Aerospace headquarters in Cincinnati, OH; due to security requirements there are very limited work from home or remote opportunities

Desired Characteristics

  • Familiarity with Model Based Enterprises, Model Based Systems Engineering and Systems Modelling tools, such as the SysML Cameo software suite
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Prior experience working in the Aviation Industry
  • A minimum of 4 years of military or DoD related industry experience
  • Strong understanding of U.S. military organizations, maintenance and sustainment processes and procedures, and the DoD’s Integrated Product Support elements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
  • Current / Active US Secret security clearance

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, for applicants who are not asylees, refugees, lawful permanent residents or U.S. Citizens (i.e., not a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), otherwise known as a U.S. Person), final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
