Digital Product Manager (Technical)

Job Description

The Digital Product Manager will support one of the teams and is tasked with defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of one or more product features within Allstate Technology Solutions' expanding and enhancing customer self-service. The Digital Product Manager manages strategic product vision, product discovery, roadmaps, and backlog to maximize the customer and enterprise value provided by their product. Successful Product Managers help to identify assumptions and validate those assumptions using product discovery techniques. This person is responsible for working closely with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring the successful definition and execution of go-to market and communications strategies for their product and features.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute towards creating the product strategy for one product or feature team, that align to strategic outcomes.
• Represent the “voice of the customer”; invest significant time with current and potential customers to understand their needs and habits.
• Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy.
• Authors, tests, and accepts stories.
• Use customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to provide recommendations on decisions about product strategy.
• Manages the product backlog, contributes towards creating an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations.
• Provide input on decomposing complex problems into smaller manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog for the Product Team.
• Engage in and lead discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.

Functional Skills:

• Understanding of, and experience working in, a technology development environment
• Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience shipping software.
• Experience operating in an environment driven by OKRs (Objective & Key Results) where you had the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your goals.
• Advanced ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to a new product development team with proven experience in data-driven decision making.
• Clear passion for topics of technology products and an ability to identify possibilities to innovate in our product space.
• Ability to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient at breaking down work for iterative and incremental delivery.
• Expert at stakeholder management and transparent communication

Education & Experience

• 4-year bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
• 3+ years of experience (Preferred

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $95,700.00 - 170,925.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
