This position will coordinate with course production teams (course developers, subject matter experts, instructional designers, etc.) to plan, design, and develop high quality digital media assets (video, audio, and/or other computer-based training products) in support of online courses delivered by Embry-Riddle Worldwide. Examples of such projects include interactive web activities, graphics and illustrations, animations, instructional video, and audio for narrated presentations or podcasts.
This position will perform a variety of tasks related to the production of digital media assets for online programs. Those tasks may include identifying appropriate media in various instructional settings, providing coaching and guidance on best practices for creating various media, developing scripts and storyboards, using multiple applications to produce various parts of a project, handling audio and video equipment in a studio setting, converting various file types for use in an online environment, and creating options and alternatives for media to address Section 508 compliance.
This person must be able to work independently and as part of a team, handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and communicate and collaborate effectively. This position demands high quality visual products and great attention to detail.
Digital Media Asset Production
- Use computer applications and other technologies to create visually stimulating and engaging digital media assets.
- Deliver draft projects for review to team members and project stakeholders and make revisions as necessary.
Project Management
- Meet and plan projects with project stakeholders to determine scope and schedule milestones.
- Use project management software to track all project due dates, communicate and collaborate with team members, and delegate tasks.
Coaching and Guidance
- Provide coaching to project stakeholders to identify the best asset types for different instructional situations.
- Provide guidance to project stakeholders on tools, techniques, and best practices for creating various types of media.
- Produce materials for training and development.
Research and Development
- Use training resources for learning new techniques, strategies, and technologies to produce state-of-the-art media for learning.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree. Area of Concentration: Digital Media, Graphic Design, Video Production, or related field.
Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
- Intermediate experience with any of the following software applications: Microsoft Office, Zoom, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator,
- Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Captivate, Final Cut Pro, Articulate Storyline, Canva, Visme, H5P, or other creative applications.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills. - Strong communication, writing, proofing, and editing skills.
- Ability to accept feedback as part of the creative process and educate clients on design theory.
- Ability to organize, coordinate, and oversee multiple projects.
- Ability to interpret and utilize brand standards
1-3 years of work related experience in Media Production
Preferred experience:
- 5+ years of experience designing highly engaging learning media based on sound learning principles preferred
- Experience with the Instructure Canvas learning management system .
- Knowledge of instructional design and development techniques in a distance learning environment.
