Overview
Seneca Holdings has an immediate opening for a Digital Media Specialist with a proven track record of effective management and creation of external and internal digital assets, such as videos, and photos, for websites, social media platforms, and intranets. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Marketing & Communications, they will be responsible for creating written and digital content, optimizing its performance across various channels and platforms to strengthen our brand presence and stakeholder engagement. They will also be responsible for enhancing the organization’s social media strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develops and manages digital communications across the organization.
- Develops tactical plans for use of digital media in support of overarching communications strategy and positioning and recommends implementation of best practice digital communication strategies to improve the accuracy and efficiency of information dissemination.
- Finds unique ways to tell company and employee stories by creating and publishing digital content, including video, for platforms such as the organization’s websites, intranet, social media, presentations, events, and other supporting materials as needed.
- Develops scripts, shoots, edits, and produces videos and other digital content for use across websites, social media, etc., and/or manages third-party production team.
- Updates and maintains Seneca websites; develops content and new pages and sections of the sites as required; and works with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure timely updates are made to the sites.
- Manages the organization’s social media presence by developing and implementing a social media strategy; creates and schedules posts; analyzes performance metrics to refine strategies; and maintains social media calendar.
- Understands industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and social media.
- Ensures branding and messaging standards are maintained.
- Supports Seneca Holdings’ Core Values and culture of diversity and inclusion.

Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in digital media, digital marketing, or related field required.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, media, or 4+ years of experience in a related field.
- Exceptional written, verbal communication skills and proven expertise as a creative writer, copy editor, and storyteller.
- Proficiency with current digital media technology, including digital communications platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom), social media platforms, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics a plus.
- Experience with WordPress and in managing websites.
- Experience with SharePoint intranets preferred.
- Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com and SmartSheet.
- Knowledge of user experience (UX), graphic design, and user testing strategies.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and 508 compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, presence, and tact with proven ability to work across different audiences, personalities, and experience levels.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and the ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously.
- Experience with MS Office 365 and internal communications software (e.g., ContactMonkey), preferred.
- Experience managing, aggregating, and reporting performance metrics a plus.
- Ability to travel as required, estimated up to two times per quarter.
