Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and maintain overall revenue growth of key customer base, focusing on maintaining and improving partnerships.
- Establish visit frequencies with customers to achieve annual growth objectives and provide account forecasts internally for operational and business optimization.
- Develop multi-department, multi-level contacts with key customers.
- Maintain up-to-date Growth and Account Management Plans.
- Visit key prospects and customers to understand their needs, then partner with operations management to identify solutions that exceed their expectations.
- Collaborate strictly with Lonza marketing, sales, customer service, supply chain, and operations to ensure customer centricity and business continuity.
- Provide market feedback to colleagues and regional management regarding competitive activities including pricing, quality, new product introductions, and changes in sales forces.
- Actively engage in industry events, conferences, and professional associations.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, life sciences, or a technical field required.
- 0-5+ years of Account Management and/or Sales experience, including contacts with Purchasing, Production, R&D, Marketing, and Quality.
- Direct experience in the dietary supplement and/or pharma industry is required.
- Must be capable of making on-the-spot sales decisions through negotiations with customers that can have a significant impact on the business.
- Proven ability to project lead, multi-task, and handle resources to improve territory performance.
- Experienced at public speaking, customer presentations, and internal communications.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and perseverance in handling all aspects of customer interactions and demonstrate the ability to be a great teammate.
- Ability to travel domestically (50%) and occasionally internationally.
- Experience with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce.com, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
