What You’ll Contribute

  • Design, build and deliver full stack DevOps cloud solutions, hosted services and underlying software infrastructure.Review and negotiate terms to be consistent with FICO policies and procedures.
  • Participate heavily in design and code reviews.
  • Design, build, test, deploy and own scalable microservices with RESTful and gRPC interfaces.
  • Develop and manage DevOps CI/CD solutions.
  • Develop tools and automated DevOps solutions.
  • Support & troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup and restores of different DevOps environments.
  • Share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for DevOps service incidents.

What We’re Seeking

  • An experienced software automation focused SME who has hand-on experience on many of the DevOps automation capabilities and practices, such as trunk-based development, CICD, IaC, everything-as-code, Kubernetes, shift-left monitoring, ChatOps, GitOps, ring-based and canary deployments, etc.
  • Experience with e-Commerce or customer facing business where code is moved into production multiple times daily is required.
  • Strong background with modern technology stacks, microservices, cloud architectures.
  • Strong grasp of design patterns, coding best practices and be able to write unit-testable code.
  • Proficient in scripting and one or more programming languages (Python, Go, NodeJS).
  • Experience with AWS administration and automation using Lambda, AWS CLI, Ansible, Crossplane.
  • Experience with Infrastructure provisioning tools such as Crossplane, Ansible, Terraform.
  • Experience with GitOps tooling, such as ArgoCD or FluxCD in production.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental technologies like HTTP, DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking and security best practices.
  • Proficient in monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog, CloudWatch, SumoLogic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Experience analyzing and resolving performance, scalability and reliability issues.
  • Experience with build & deploy tools, such as GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with databases like MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB.
  • BS in Computer Science or related field.
