RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing applications and integrated solutions in support of customer requirements
- Automating the deployment of new applications and services to the infrastructure using infrastructure as code principles, CI/CD pipeline
- Developing automated tests using provided testing framework as well as custom solutions
- Developing client install packages for across-the-wire system deployments and system upgrades
- Mentoring engineers to encourage growth in automation technologies
- Writing implementation, SOP, and design documents describing how to use developed automation techniques
- Participating in a Change Management processes
- Performing requirements analysis, design, and integration for complex software application environments and collaboration infrastructures
- Participate in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support strategy-definition and continuous process improvement activities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain automation of cloud enablement tools
- Participate in the design, implementation and management of workload automation initiatives
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent, and 10 years of related experience
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required (CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, CND or SSCP)
- DoD 8570 computing environment certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
- Experienced with source control and code repository tools
- Experience developing within Windows and/or Linux environments
- Experience with software architecture development leveraging open standards, microservices, and model-based engineering tools to articulate the software design
- Experience working with automation technologies
- Experience with enterprise systems in a client, server or cloud environment, including deployment automation tools
- DoD 8570 computing environment certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, VMware VCP7 – CMA within 6 months of hire. Company provides training support.
- Knowledge and application of orchestration and container platform technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Open-shift, and Azure DevOps
- Knowledge and application of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) technologies such as GitLab, Azure DevOps Pipeline, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Cucumber, Junit, pytest, Nexus, Fortify, SonarQube, Twistlock, and Grafana
